Vitali would be a difficult fight for any champion in any era that's for sure. That doesn't mean that he'd beat all of them but every champion from Dempsey to Ali would have to bring their A-game if they wanted the win.

I think Ali would be way too fast in his prime. He fought his share of big men as well. Prime Ali beats any HW ever IMO. The other guys would be given a lot of problems.

I think Vitali could win rounds against a prime Ali. It's a certain distance fight the way I see it but in the end there can only be one winner which is Ali of course.

In another thread in the history section I posted that Vitali would lose to Ali, Louis and Dempsey as I recall.

The guys I see without a doubt beating Vitali clearly are Ali, Foreman, lewis, and Holmes. Joe Louis is the better fighter, but he is pretty small, and could go either way IMO. Dempsey would lose to Vitali IMO. Jack was a terror, but he was a cruiser weight.

Both Dempsey and Louis has outstanding records against big men. And those 2 guys just might be the best and most devastating combination punchers in HW history. They could really put them together which for sure would connect and test Vitali's iron chin.

I think Vitali would be a nightmare for fighters in any era.Not saying he would beat everyone or dominate but they would have to be at their best to beat him.
A lot of the smaller guys would get easily beaten though IMO.

You could be right with Louis. I just think Dempsey would be too small. However if he could avoid gettign hurt he would win on points. Especially in a 15 rounder since Vitali has gotten tired in the past, and is injury prone against quick guys.

I don't think anyone would dominate Vitali and he could be competitive definitely. Vitali v prime Tyson would have been something, just the clash of styles, favouring Vitali I believe, and Vitali's chin against the raw power.

I think both KlitschkO brothers would be competitive in any era and more then likely dominant. I think Wlad's chin is way underrated, he's never been knocked out by 1 punch the way Lewis was and Wlad has made tremendous improvements defensively, pace and stamina wise (which tends to be overlooked) with the help of Manny.

Even a doubter would have to admit he'd be highly competitive in any era. Whether he'd beat an Ali is another matter entirely. Ali did huff and puff against some fighters like Norton, Frazier and Bugner. Vitaly stops guys. I think he's the best 38 year old HW of all time, and the best white European HW of all time. The Klits have re-defined what a HW has to be in terms of dedication, and longevity. Maybe not the most exciting ala Tyson, but they knock people out. This isn't the Larry Holmes era boring his way to UD's.
