A knockdown always means you win the round, flash knockdown or not. One opponent hit the canvas, the other didn’t
the only exception is when the other guy dominates in such a fashion that the round would be scored 10-8 for him if it weren’t for the flash knockdown
not sure why people consistently get this confusedComment

Davis broke Garcia's spirit. The sad thing is I don't think Garcia realized that some of his punches hurt Davis. Garcia fought like a spoiled kid. It's like he felt enough of Davis' power and he didn't want to continue. He was faced with a decision to dare to be legendary or throw in the towel and fight another day. He decided to take an "I'll just be ordinary" route, take a loss and fight another day. This was a disappointing showing by Garcia.Comment

You are just plain wrong. Loma’s light weight wins were against a combined record of 187 wins, 3 champions. Linares in his prime demolishes Ryan. Almost knocked out Haney when was past it. Jamaine Ortiz? Don’t sleep on that guy. I think he’s got a future. Luke Campbell is Ryan’s only quality win.Comment

I don't think Garcia has lived enough boxing, nor lives enough boxing, to have given him the dimensions and wrinkles in both character and skills, to deal with Tank.
As for the Liver shot this video is interesting and might be used as evidence for the pro Garcia ppl on here
I've boxed and I know first hand that a good liver shot will have you gasping for air, you don't know what's going on, you just hear a lot of noise and see a lot of people, but you can't comprehend anything and you feel like you have a hole in your lungs, not allowing any oxygen to get in there no matter how much and how hard you're breathing. Almost like a stroke (which I admittedly haven't had but seems to describe it to a tee)
Having said that Garcia didn't have that in his eyes. He was totally alert. Looked at the ref. Nodded his head to indicate he was fine. WAITED FOR THE REFEREE TO COUNT HIM OUT. THEN GOT UP THE MILISECOND HE DID.
Garcia legitimately appeared to be in pain he wasn't exactly writhing in it. The decision to quit that he made was a conscious one and he was clearheaded when he made it. He couldn't find the hail mary left hook that he so desperately needed to stop Tank from methodically breaking him down. I think he could've beaten the count if he really wanted to. It's not like he was incapacitated he'd just had enough.Comment
