Loma also had rotator cuff surgery a few days after the Teo fight, if I recall correctly. And, Loma has never been scared of a puncher. He was dropped by Linares, and got up to knock him out. Where as Haney was rocked by Linares and held on for dear life for two or three rounds.

Loma is healthy, and not coming straight from war. He'll outbox Haney, and then outbox Tank.

By the time of the knockout Ryan Garcia's will was already broken. He could have gotten up and continue. Taking that bended knee was just his excuse to quit! He will never become champion because he is too mentally weak.

Doubtful. He's young, there's still money on the table for him to cash in on.
Definitely has some work to do, but he's certainly not finished.
                Within a year he returns.

watched the fight 3 times now. Just an epic body shot from Davis. Total domination, several levels above Garcia who just isn't going to win with isolated jabs.

The other guy explained the rule correctly to you. If fighter A is clearly winning the round, but gets dropped at the end of it that round will be scored a 9-9. The 10 point must system prescribes that the winner of a round gets 10 points minus one point for suffering a KD.
                    Any literature or fight examples?

10-8 - 1 point for hitting the canvas, and the other point for losing the round. If you hit the canvas, but your opponent didn’t, you lose the round. It’s really clear cut. The concept of a ‘flash knockdown’ is more for analysing the fight, rather than scoring the round

its always 10-8. But should you provide any evidence to the contrary, I’d be happy to look at it and be proven wrong

I'm willing to award a 9 to a fighter who is knocked down only under exceptional circumstances and I can't think of a fight where I did so off the top, so I agree that it's almost always a 10 8 round. I might have to reach back to one of the JMM/Pac fights where JMM might have won the round after a flash knockdown to find an example where a fighter was knocked down and then "won the round" after the fact, so to speak.
