He did not win at least 5 rounds. That's a joke. He's making an argument it could have been a draw? Caleb fought his heart out, deserves huge respect, but let's stop with this false narrative. If it wasn't for the worst refereeing performance in a decade and constant holding, Caleb would have been stopped. You can give him 4 rounds. But this "at least 5" garbage needs to be put to bed.

Also the Ryan Garcia/Cooney stuff is just way off. Ryan has already fought Haney 6x as an amateur. They went 3-3. He said he wants Haney next. Obviously he's smart to chase the Tank money fight because Haney doesn't sell anything and this fight tonight is the biggest of the year. And why would he need a tune up? Errol Spence doesn't take them. Floyd didn't. Leonard didn't. I could go on and on. You get an injury etc. Hopefully Bread rethinks some of this business logic moving forward. I would hate to see him mess up a payday for one of his guys.

Stop with what exactly? A lot of people had Plant winning at least 5 rounds. That’s how I scored it too AND I’m not invested in either fighter.

Comparing amateur fights to pro fights is super silly. How many world champions got beat at the Olympics by guys who became underachievers in the pros?
Cotto beat up the guy that beat him at the Olympics. And the guy that beat Floyd, well, NOTHING became of him.
Lastly, how do you compare Floyd, Leonard and Spence to Garcia? Garcia is 24 and hasn’t won a single title yet so yes, a tune-up would have been to his advantage.

When Pacqiao got KO’d, he took on Brandon Rios who was coming off a loss so that was a tune-up. Oscar fought Steve Forbes to prepare for a rematch that never happened against Floyd but it was a tune-up.

Just because you can't score a fight doesn't mean a thing to me. Plant won 4 rounds at best. To say "at least 5" as in there's an argument for 6 is delusional. Tarver had RJJ number as amateurs. Vernon had Mosley's. How did that play out in the pros? Spence doesn't take tune ups how has that worked for him despite brutal car accidents and eye injuries?

Dude's bringing up the amateurs like Mike Tyson aint lose to Henry Tillman in the amateurs and then destroy him in the pros.

Amateur results have ZERO to do with pro results.

And you're comparing Ryan Garcia, a glorified prospect with an Instagram following to guys who are P4P level world champions and hall of famers.

The guy's never had a damn championship fight before tonight's. He's a complete noob

I'll bet after what happened tonight, he wishes he would've took that tuneup in January.

He did even worse than all of us thought he would and got brutalized from pillar to post and looked lost.

THAT's why you take tuneup fights, to get in a groove when you have big fights. Garcia was lost in there.
