Huge fan of Bread since the days when his mailbag was on that other side. But he needs to stop with this nonsense right here, he has said it multiple times.

"For all of the things people say Caleb can’t do, he knows what he’s good at. He also knows he stood up to a killer and won at least 5 rounds."

He did not win at least 5 rounds. That's a joke. He's making an argument it could have been a draw? Caleb fought his heart out, deserves huge respect, but let's stop with this false narrative. If it wasn't for the worst refereeing performance in a decade and constant holding, Caleb would have been stopped. You can give him 4 rounds. But this "at least 5" garbage needs to be put to bed.

Also the Ryan Garcia/Cooney stuff is just way off. Ryan has already fought Haney 6x as an amateur. They went 3-3. He said he wants Haney next. Obviously he's smart to chase the Tank money fight because Haney doesn't sell anything and this fight tonight is the biggest of the year. And why would he need a tune up? Errol Spence doesn't take them. Floyd didn't. Leonard didn't. I could go on and on. You get an injury etc. Hopefully Bread rethinks some of this business logic moving forward. I would hate to see him mess up a payday for one of his guys.

Excellent remarks about Cooney. He was a good fighter who might've been able to be great, or borderline great, with a different and more thorough development plan, and also had he conquered his demons of depression and alcoholism long before he did. He didn't fight often enough leading up to Holmes, and barely at all after because of said demons. He should've fought some stiffer competition on the way up too, but maybe it all worked out - he got paid big $$, still has enough, and is a happy man today.

Cooney is an example of what is ruining boxing today, to much sitting out, trying to wait for the big money fight, in the meantime people lose interest in boxing. Back then boxing did not have to compete against mma in order to maintain interest.

I totally disagree with Bread. I think Cooney was a little overrated. All he had was a big left hook. He had no right hand and no boxing skills. He went as far as he could go.

Right on. The answer to PED use is stricter testing and harsher punishment.
