We already have the TBRB. They're nonprofit, not affiliated with any promoters or governing bodies, and they don't need to award a belt. They don't care about filling vacancies, they'll leave a title open until someone earns it by winning a fight between #1 and #2.

He won’t and he couldn’t make a difference even if he wanted to tbh. It’s a throwaway interview with some betting site that boxingscene needlessly have developed into an article because they know Mayweather in the headline will get them clicks.

I just find it hilarious that he said he’s going to introduce a new belt to help solve the problem of too many belts. It’s just such a contradiction or at the very least a completely paradoxical statement.

Floyd became too much of a scammer unfortunately with all his NFT and ******* ventures. And several things he did to fans years earlier with selling their online data. He doesn't have the credibility to manage a sanctioning body without several layers of corruption involved in the ranking system. If he was a more trustworthy and honorable guy the idea might stand a chance to evolve into something but since he's not, it's doomed to fail.
