  • Comments Thread For: Yamaguchi Falcao: Experience Definitely A Factor; Morrell Is Gonna Learn The Hard Way

Fighting David Morrell Jr. on barely one week's notice isn't an ideal assignment. The unbeaten Cuban southpaw is one of the most formidable fighters in the super middleweight division, much better than his eight fights worth of pro experience would typically indicate. Yamaguchi Falcao felt he still couldn't pass on a chance to challenge Morrell in the 12-round co-feature on the Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia undercard Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

I’ve shamefully not seen Falcão fight. What are his chances?

Any recommended scuffles from him to watch before Saturday?

Last minute replacements have always been a bad choice for up and coming fighters. Personally if I were managing a prospect and the fighter hes been training for pulls out, Id say "chale" to a good late replacement. I understand its a big card but nobodies watching until the main event especially the fans Garcia and Tank are bringing.

Some say this is a better fight than agbeko. And falcao was training for another fight. I think they're both in the same boat, they were preparing to face another opponent.

Falcao has enormous overall experience mainly predicated on the AM's but he is skilled. However, at 35, I don't see him pulling off the upset against the extremely gifted and powerful Morrell.

Some saying the age of Falcao, no, nothing to do with it. 35 is still young.

It's just that Morrell is a better boxer.

Falco is going to get pummeled from pillar to post. I dont expect him to finish this fight.
