Yeah he might not be as chinny as people make him out to be. He got hit with a clean shot from Linares. I don't think it's much deeper than that.

Getting knocked down is often a balance issue more than a chin issue. Being relieved of your senses is a chin issue. Haney took a good shot from Linares and got hurt, not unusual. What was unusual is that he appeared to be affected for the rest of the fight. You can't really say Haney has a chin issue based on one single incident that was hard to interpret but it certainly gives the jury something to think about.

I can't say he is chinny. But Teos was a flash knockdown he wasn't hurt. Haney wobbled to his corner in the Linares fight so was more hurt there then ive seen Teo hurt. Flash knockdowns are ones where they fall and straight back up and not hurt or off balance so i don't read too much into them type of knockdowns like Teos or Ryan against Campbell or Thurman against Pacquiao those knockdown don't tell me anything about their chin. It's when seeing a fighter off balance and not regained their composure that does. With Haney if you watch he did get hurt and that is why he was going for that weird straight up hug and then hobbled to his corner off balance. Not saying that makes him chinny just comparing how Haney looked more hurt there

amir khan hadn't been knocked out but he was flopping all over the canvas many times and it was clear his chin was horrible even before he was ko'd.

He got rocked badly by a washed Linares and took a long time to recover. He also fights with his mouth wide open most of the time.

He definitely has a suspect chin but he's been skilled enough to protect it thus far.
