Amazing that something so simple, Joyce wasn't able to do at all. Guess we'll see what happens in the rematch, if it actually happens.

Rewatch the Hrgovic fight , you’ll see Hrgovic wasn’t trying to out match jabs and go around the lead hand , he got caught a lot because of low guard and most likely unexpected speed but it’s an entirely different fight . But overall if Joyce just avoids walking a straight line onto Zhang it would be a very similar fight because Joyce and Hrgovic are somewhat similar the difference is Hrgovic narrows opportunities for opponents and Joyce just tries to strong arm them to much making very few adjustments if any .

Zhang didn’t have many answers for Hrgovic straight right ,one things firvsure he’s got a chin but I think Hrgovic punishes him in the rematch if they have one and gets off to a far faster start he was sleep walking in that one fir at least half the fight .

Joyce definitely relies more on his size then skills . Most heavy weights wouldn’t be as effective without some sort of size advantage and more skill would be needed ,you’d definitely see a huge change on here and some posters favorite fighters being more ridiculed . I don’t believe Wilder would ever come close to championship level without his reach and I don’t think Fury would get away with half the things he does physically without being the biggest guy in the division . He’d definitely get flattened by a Wilder if you take about 40 pounds off him .

But the fact is guys are bigger today and it’s very effective when you have both size and skills .

Zhang is 40 yrs old, he shouldn't be looking at rematches, I know the Joyce rematch is up to Joyce. Him and his team needs to try to negotiate some lucrative deals to lure the champs Fury/Usyk to China. His management team seems to be small players, so I don't know if they have any connections that could raise the big money to lure the champs, especially cowardly Fury. Zhang's time is running out.
