I kinda feel like Top Rank ruined boxing on ESPN. ESPN doesn’t take boxing seriously even with all the upcoming champions on the Top Rank stable. Nobody is going to pay for Haney,Stevenson,Lopez,Zayas and Anderson PPV’s. None of those guys are going to be superstar when it comes down to selling PPV numbers.

Stevenson is the truth but I can’t see myself buying his future PPV’s

Spot on bob! I've loved boxing for most of my life in an area where it is decidedly not popular. Ryan Rozicki area lol

What this place indicates to me is casual interest in the sport. People talked about oscar and floyd and pacman...nobody cares about canelo. Probably has to do with a lot of things but man just not resonating one bit.

People that I hang with like to watch competitive fights if they have to pay for it and the ufc is just a lot better at that without argument.

Garbage undercards because the top guy(s) make too much doesn't do any favors. Dazn took a bath on ggg and canelo.

They're stalling all the careers on that roster, setting them up to beat on bums forever. One-sided beatings on Top Rank are boring, there is no excitement over there.

Arum is all about making money. We can't hate on him because he's already mastered the art of promoting fights and negotiating.

Canelo is out there for him but Bob has a salary cap to think about. Is that why he's sacrificing Loma?

I think that's most boxers. That goes for all promotional companies. Or you can be like Haymon and Showtime that they make every fight PPV.

Bobs on the money ! As much as I'm pleased for Ryder , a nice guy , a good solid fighter and skilfully manoeuvred in to a position to fight Canelo in May on the big Mexican holiday .Who really outside Ryders team , Eddie Hearn and millions of Mexicans who are keen for any sacrificial lamb for their hero's home coming want this fight ? Bob has a better understanding of who is worth what in this game of chess! Remember he made 'whispering Bud' $20m in three fights, only for Bud to go off on a racial slur , when we all know Bob couldn't give a *** about colour, other than green!

My wonderful father is 91 & still has a reasonably sound mind but man Don King is still screwing fighters over in his 90s & Uncle Bob is still a serious player…It really is quite astonishing these 2 are still players. King not so much but still there…

Arums is the best and most consistent promoter in the US right now, and he is because he made the decision to downsize a little post-HBO.

Guys aren’t getting paid ****** money at Top Rank, so he’s not gonna get all the megastars, but they’re able to do what they do pretty well. They’re not getting caught up in paying a million dollars for **** fights…. They’ll outlast DAZN.

Canelo is the main reason DAZN is relevant in boxing. He's the biggest US draw along with being one of the most active fighters in boxing. If anything, they've been overpaying opponents. Fighters used to do backflips to fight Pac and Floyd for a couple mill, but Jacobs, Kovaelv, Smith, BJS, and Plant were all paid $8-13M. And their biggest blunder was giving a $100M deal to GGG who was never the ambitious fighter he was hyped to be. As soon as that deal was signed I accurately predicted he'd look to play it out only fighting stiffs.
