Why was Ryan in such a rush to face Tank?

Ryan isn't primed yet he doesn't have nowhere near the experience to beat Tank at the moment. While Tank is in his absolute prime right now. Ryan needed a couple more years to polish off some wrinkles in his game and face guys that would prepare him for Davis. And now with all the restrictions Tank put on Ryan with the weight, gloves, refs etc it a long shot for Ryan to win it.

I personally feel Ryan wants to get in and out of the sport fast, he wants the big fights prematurely that come with the payday. I feel win or lose Ryan won't be in boxing long.

    Low IQ moves.

Why would Joe Joyce face Zhang when he was a mandatory for championship next?

Because the fighters at 140 are not going to pay the same. Also, the fighters at 140 are going to legitimately beat him.

Tank might as well but legitimate this fight is not

Perhaps the work he put in with the psychologists while he was under depression has given him an improved belief in himself and his chances against Tank.

All those answers could be it but I just feel Ryan doesn't have long term plans in this sport. Whenever a boxer hs some kind of cross over appeal they rarely hang around boxing long.

Ryan imo probably feels like hey I'll roll the dice if I win cool but if I lose I can move on to other things. One foot out the door is never a good thing in this sport.

Because other than those of us that follow the sport, the rest of the viewing audience believe Tank is "the guy" in and around the lightweight division. Belts or not,Ryan knows beating Tank,is the fight to casuals, that will launch his stardom to levels only Canelo and AJ are at currently.

Whether his career is short lived really is irrelevant to me so as long as he continues to fight the top guys at each division starting with Tank. I'd rather he do that than stick around a division fighting journeyman level fighters for 6-7yrs like Tank ,charging $80 a pop while calling himself a legend and the face of boxing.

Not sure why some many of his critics here question his dedication to the sport. If you watch the All Access videos along with recent videos of those of his parents and camp,it's pretty evident to me that they all live and breath boxing, and have been since he put on his first pair of gloves at 7yrs old. I dont get any "one foot out the door" impressions when I watch videos like the one Shoulder Roll posted in his Showtime All Access thread.....you guys do??

It’s a big money fight with crossover appeal and he’s chasing the bag.
