I’ll hold my hands up though, I definitely underestimated Zhang and I certainly didn’t think he’d beat Joyce however…

People saying he can trouble Fury and Usyk are crazy man.

I’ll put it to you this way, if you take away Zhang’s left hand, what else does he really have?

Usyk and Fury aren’t gonna be on the line like Joyce was all night. They’ll just circle left, take the left hand away from him and use their far superior hand speed to pick him off all night. It’s easy work for both and a few other active HW’s tbh.

Get closer to him and take centre ring. Joyce was a sitting duck from the outside. He got hit a lot less in close.

Zhang is the greatest Asian heavyweight of all time. 300 million Chinese saw his match vs Hrgovic and an equal out likely saw him take apart Joyce. You might say he has some fans. In China he is viewed as a national sports hero, and they don't have ANY as a nation. At least in sports ( non ping pong ) demanding some physicality. A potential heavyweight champion A.K.A. the so called baddest man in sports he would be hysteria.


It is difficult to understand his popularity there and since modern boxing favors the viewing public and money don't be shocked if a Chinese Don King emerges back by billionaires for him! I &#^t you not. His is good, a current top 5 heavyweight I think. But due to age his time at the top will be severely limited.
