Comments Thread For: Bob Arum on Pacquiao Potentially Fighting Conor Benn: 'That's Sort of Sad'

Bob Arum was dismayed by the latest news involving one of the greatest fighters he has ever promoted. The 91-year-old founder of Las Vegas-based Top Rank expressed his disappointment with the increasingly likely possibility that eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao could be returning to the ring this year against embattled British welterweight Conor Benn.

Manny will beat the piss out of McGregor, but he does need to stay retired. The sport isn't too friendly for fighters that stick around for too long

What's sad is neither of these guys should be near a ring . Manny has blown tens of millions and is 44! And Benn is running away from an obvious drugs ban after failing two separate tests .Anyone involved in this farce should be banned......period!

Wasn't Arum the promoter of Ali vs. Holmes? That should've NEVER happened!

Bob isn't wrong, but I suspect he would find it less sad if he was promoting the fight.
