Although I don't think he's the best heavyweight, he's one of the best for sure.

He could've knocked out Hrgovic if he was a bit more accurate. I think his conditioning was likely better for this fight. He definitely has the best resume in the last twelve months, of any heavyweight.

Is Fury willing to fight him, seeing as Usyk already has another opponent?

That's a good and big fight at Wembley; Fury vs Zhang, and Fury won't be able to take it as easy as with Whyte and Chisora.

Who will challenge Zhang, the king of division, the guy who beat Hrgovic and Joyce, two boogeymen?

      I see, nobody.

Usyk will be: o yeah, I beat him easily. But I must fight Dubois, mandatories, you know.

Wilder will be like: o yeah, I KO this guy in one round. But I will fight Ngannou.

Joshua will be: o yeah, I beat this guy on olympics...I fight Whyte next. We have unfinished business.

Fury: come here you chinese dosser...I will fight you for free....no, I will fight you for 100 millions...you get 500 000 bucks...Sign now or I fight Kabayel.

      That is how it works.

        This.

But who would dare to fight him?

Zhang against Wilder/Fury/Usyk/Joshua in China are huge fights.

But something tells me these cats will all have excuses.

Doubt anyone will be afraid of zhang who nearly died against Journeyman Forrest and couldn't do anything with the likes of Rudenko

He's a dangerous fighter if you walk into him head first like Joyce. What else has he done apart from a close fight with Hrgovic? What's Hrgovic ever done by the way? He's looked mediocre in a few fights against nobodies.

He is certainly dangerous if you stand in front of him like an idiot. Let him come to you and move your feet a bit and he'll look like a big useless lummox after a few rounds.

Fair play to him, he's done well but let's not make him out to be something he's not. All that will happen when he fights a top fighter with some actual boxing ability is he will get soundly beaten and you and a load of others will backtrack and say he's old and wasn't that good to start with.

We heard all this boogie man nonsense about Ortiz until Wilder flattened him twice.

I highly doubt Zhang will be ready by summer so no Fury fight. Usyk has his mandatory.

Wilder is too scared to fight Andy because a loss to Andy buries his career even deeper and a win would force him to fight Fury again which we all know he doesn't want.
Those risk apply to Zhang as well.

AJ and Whyte are probably fighting by December.

So who does that leave? I'm guessing Franklin will get tossed around again or someone will finally fight Wallin. A win over Wallin would push Zhang towards a Fury fight and rivalry if Fury manages to stay undefeated.

He's the sort of fighter who will get beaten and everyone will say 'of course he couldn't beat the big names'.

The fact is the big names don't go and beat these guys.

For me, either Joshua or Wilder should be making him an offer. They'll bring viewers, he'll bring viewers, and they'll get some credibility for beating him. He's just not that good.

I'm not sure how Fury could fight Zhang. He's unranked by the WBC. Usyk couldn't fight Zhang, he'd be changing the mandatory rotation and the WBA won't accept that.

              Perfect time to step up.

Joyce will win the rematch by ko and it's happy retirement for grandpa Zhang. Fury will demand a 99.99% split in his favor and everyone else is busy waiting for a title shot or a Ngannou fight so Zhang has very poor options. WBO won't be the mandatory in a long while and if Usyk-Fury did for some reason happen for xmas then the rematch would happen the next xmas. Zhang could be 3 years away if he gonna sit on this win to get his shot. And he might not get it at all.

He is basically a Chinese version of Luis Oldtiz. Bad stamina, good counters and old. Joyce fought a perfect fight to lose to Zhang, coming in face first for the straight left all night and still he was standing when it was waved off. In the rematch Joyce will move to his left and keep his hands up weighing 270. He will break Zhang and Zhang doesn't have great options to that. He's too old to get anything done in his career at this point.

Well, Will Joyce by the age of 37 learn how to protect his face?

Otherwise Zhang will damage his eye again.

Zhang hasn't at 40 suddenly found another gear, if you wrote down a blueprint of a boxer ideally suited for Zhang it would be Joyce, plodding forward with his almost hammer fist jab falling into you.
Usyk & Fury are clearly the top 2 & Zhang is now firmly in the chasing pack that all avoid each other waiting for entitled to belt shots, it's a big pack now, they can't all keep avoiding each other. Oh yeah promoter's, of course they will.
Who is the chasing pack now?
Heavy suit, will only fight if he gets paid
                    Kanye, taking another year off
Hrgovic, has said he'll rematch Zhang,
                    Sanchez, can't get a fight
                    Whyte, shot never been
                    Ruiz, only fight's 1 grandad a year
Zhang, he should call out Whyte, put him in the next pile.
Dubois, ol fish eye's played a blinder getting his mando.

Ortiz, Parker, Joyce, Bakolie, Wallin, Hunter, Makhumudov, Anderson are all jostling to get on that list,

Any HW with a bit of footwork and head movement will beat Zhang.
