Joyce needs to take the rematch immediately. Find a few decent left handed cruiserweights to spar, to adjust to the speed and improve footwork. DOn't overtrain and get back to his regular weight. Then set up a better game plan, bit more defensive early, let Zhang empty his tank a little, then start with the pressure.

See the difference here is Joshua would only find himself in this position by 'accident' as he did when he was annihilated by Ruiz , who came in on just two weeks notice and ruined him. Warren and Joyce had the balls to go in with this dangerous guy , who in a lot of minds was still 'unbeaten' and who Joshua and Hearn had recently REFUSED as an opponent .Joshua should get off his arse and fight Joyce next , with the winner to fight Zhang but I'm sure this isn't part of Edward and Joshua's wildest dreams . Joyce has fallen from grace here , lets be clear and fighting a washed up Whyte doesn't solve it .He's got to go the hard way, back in with Zhang , weather the storm learn to move his head and hope to do the obvious game plan ,stop Zhang late , I can't see it and if you want to know what's good for 'business' then Hearn has got it right all along .....avoid dangerous fighters at all costs , good for business , shyte for boxing.

Chisora has forged a very profitable career out of fighting everybody and anybody... Joyce could certainly do that. Chisora might die, but it would be a nice get well fight for Joe.

Yeah... so long as we the boxing fans punish fighters for losing, there is no real reason to risk the biscuit. Back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's the only way boxers earned money was big fights. You HAD to fight all the big names, and rematch them, because only those fights got enough press to sell. There were only 3 major TV networks, a few big sports magazines, and a handful of big promoters. It was truly a big thing to be in a major fight. HBO only helped, as they gave a great platform for those big name fights. Throw in Showtime you had the golden decades of big fights.

Now? There are all kinds of news outlets, streaming services, big name promotions, more belts in more sanctioning bodies, and competition from dozens of others sports and combat organizations. Building a flashy record and picking up any kind of shiney waist trinket is enough to get you paid. Throw in how fast everyone gives up on you when you lose it is just not worth it. Just look at these forums here on Boxing Scene. Before this fight, everyone was excited but felt Joyce would win and continue on to scaring the HW division into submission or at least be a legit threat. Now? So many "he has been exposed", "he cannot improve", and my favorite "I knew he was a fraud all along" are the flavor of the boxing "fandom".

Long winded way of agreeing with you. The business has changed. It is better to aim for 2-3 big legacy fights but play it safe for the other 30-40. Not better for the sport, better for the individual fighter, promoters, and useless belts fees.

Joshua also refused to fight Wallin and McKean as they are southpaws.
Not sure why you are bringing this up, Joshua openly said he didn’t want to fight a southpaw next. He beat Zhang in the olympics and put him down with headguards on.
Why do you want Joshua to fight Joyce instead of Joyce rematching Zhang?

I still say Joyce walks right through Aj and would like to see that next.

Fury's hardcore fans, want all of Tyson Fury's nearest competition all fighting each other 'But not fighting Tyson Fury himself'.

They make these demands and use other fighters to fight off Fury's nearest competition for him.

Joshua before his win vs Franklin, had just lost two back to back fights to Usyk. But Fury's hardcore fans were still demanding that he must fight Joyce 'Because they attempt to use other top Heavyweights as a deflection for Fury'.

Then when those fighters win or lose, Fury's hardcore fans then go into overdrive claiming 'You see they are not on the level of Tyson Fury. he would of easily beaten them'.

A big part of Fury's reputation is built of this sort of dynamic, he gets credit for fights he has never fought 'It is unprecedented, I have never seen it before in the sport of boxing to such a extent'.

It is a sociopolitical tactic they use mate, I think people need to get wise to these sort of tactics 'They are used by hardcore Fury fans, to protect Tyson Fury'.

Note: Zhang, should be aiming to fight ether Usyk or Fury. Every single top heavyweight should be aiming to fight those to premier Champions. The deflection games can only go on for so long, soon enough Fury will ether have to fight these other top heavyweights 'Or as I have said before? I would not be surprised and I can envision Fury vacating his WBC titles and claiming that he no longer needs a title'.

Tyson Fury is a great fighter, but I have always been adamant that he does not like being a Champion 'He does not enjoy the requirements that come with being a Champion, that is why it is extremely difficult for his nearest competition to actually fight him'.

Note: Tyson Fury's last two fights have barely been at World level. Franklin while training part time, pushed Whyte 'Franklin was training full-time vs Joshua and was 22 pounds lighter'. Joshua beat Franklin over the distance and won 95% of the rounds, and was never in threat of losing the fight 'On current form Franklin is a higher level fighter than Chisora'.

So in reality Tyson Fury's last two fights have pretty much been at in and around the same level of Joshua's comeback fight.

That is Tyson Fury's current situation, he is a WBC Heavyweight Champion 'Who seemingly is not fighting other top Heavyweights, Fury is the Champion he is the man that has to do it' etc.

Can’t disagree with anything you’ve said there to be fair!
Fury definitely can’t handle the pressure being a champion, only had one mandatory defence ever
