joes biggest fan from the start but he looked god awful, not much more to say than that. i know he never used to move his head much but there was SOME sort of defense against dubois and in the olympics... i dont know what the hell he was doing last night he just stood there letting himself get punched i dont think ive ever seen anything like it in a fight at that level

Like Gil Clancy would say, he gets insulted if you miss him with a punch. Adam Kwonoski or however you spell his name is not far off by cleverly blocking almost 100% of the punches with the front of his face.

'i was taking the shots fine' tell that to you're brain cells Joe because it's not good to be taking big shots like that from a guy that size an his legs defiantly buckled a couple times in there.

Let me give you some advice. Yo can`t just stand in front of a huge Chinese guy blocking his punches with your face. What the hell did you expect to happen?

I think a good stoppage that way the rematch, or rather Joyce's next fight can happen sooner rather than later. If it was to go on a few more rounds the orbital might have gone, and Joyce would likely have gone dow n.
Joyce can claim Zhang never put him down, I know that means a lot to boxers.

To be fair, Joyce put in the work the last 3 rounds and possibly won at least 2 of them. However, where was his power? He is usually better with range so his lack of head movement doesn't come into play as much. In most of his fights however he does get tagged a bit-especially early. His opponent really didn't impress me-he looked kinda tired and one can say that Joyce lost on injury more than anything else...it's not like it was a shut-out with Zhang or that he got completely outclassed-it was competitive.

Maybe he just isn't that good? Anyone who had the guy from yesterday ranked in their top 5 is a total dumbass. This guy didn't look like he belonged in the top 50!

It's unfortunate you were ill prepared to make adjustments.

Did Joyce lose too much weight? Trained too hard? He was sluggish, no speed or pop, and seemed to be lacking will and aggressivity. This said, his defence and footwork have always been shiat...so .. don't know where he goes from here.
