Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Prefers Eubank To Take Smith Rematch Over Benn Fight: 'If You Lose, You Gotta Get That Back First'

Roy Jones Jr. isn't a fan of unfinished business. The Hall of Fame fighter and current trainer of British middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. made it clear he sorely wants his charge to revisit a fight with Liam Smith instead of entering into one with embattled welterweight Conor Benn.

That’s very prudent advice from Roy Jones, Jr. Fighting Conor Benn at this point of his career can get him seriously hurt; Especially by cutting a lot of weight and with rehydration clauses. Then when you factor in the elephant in the room. It all makes sense.

Don't recall Jones running it back against Glen Johnson or Danny Green. Or Macarinelli.

Eubank will get his a(Ss) kicked again and Roy won't make a difference, In fact Roy got that a(sS) tapped a couple of times without revenge too!

Jones did avenge the horrific beating he received from Montell Griffin. One of the greatest comebacks in boxing. (In the first fight Griffins face completely pulverized Jones fist when Jones punched Griffin while he was down on a knee)

Smith is gonna just do it again. And then what. If Eubank has any future left its gotta be with a big payday vs Benn. Roy should think money first.

Jr is gonna get ass whooped again by Beefy. RJJ would not help him too much. Jr should've stayed at 168 after that DeGale win. Body draining took a big toll on him.

Ok, but Griffin was top level. The 3 I mentioned were not. He definitely should have avenged Danny "When you BEAT a legend" Green.
