The rumor I heard is Vergil Ortiz trains 7 days a week and if that's true he's burning himself out.

"Jermell’s consistency and run at 154 I think he’s a HOF. It’s hard to criticize a fighter who became a HOF in the division"

Wow! Has it became that easy to get into the Boxing HOF?

In my opinion, despite having limited knowledge of the subject, the only sports hall of fame (in the USA) that is difficult to get into because of rigid criteria and reserved for the best of the best in their respective sports is the pro football hall of fame, and the MLB baseball hall of fame. To me, some of the others seem to be 'watered-down' to some degree. Just my opinion...

Most guys that are Undisputed in their weight class get in. Personally, I think he has more work to do. It may get down to who is eligible when his time comes around.

It seems like it. All norms are watered down these days.

Is it? Truly? In this age fighters are looked upon less highly if they don’t jump around divisions like a squirrel seeking a nut. Gone are the days of fighters like Marvin Hagler who fight within and dominate a single division and then STAY THERE taking on all comers even new blood as they themselves age. This is highly more of an accomplishment than a boxer jumping from division to division picking off the weak for the sake of gaining a “title.” The amount of discipline it takes to remain in a division your entire career, make weight, clean it out and then remain for all younger fighters is of a much larger accomplishment than bouncing around. So yes, undisputed should be respected and HOF worthy. Otherwise you must then say fighters like Hagler aren’t worthy which is utter hogwash.

I mean he should have 2 losses really. I remember also seeing John Jackson giving him a boxing clinic and gave Charlo only 1 round before the ko.

Getting rhabdo again is no good. Vergil Ortiz might be cutting too much weight.

For all the talk about Boots, you have to wonder why his resume is filled with so many B and C level fighters. Something smells and please don’t tell me other fighters avoid him. Virgil Ortiz takes Boots IMO. Like I said, Boots is being handled very very carefully and that speaks volumes. Ortiz beats Boots by 6th round KO. Boots will get exposed and we will all know why his resume is so so at best and why he’s been so protected.
