I mean apparently he had 2 options outa retirement, JMM or Mosley. It's a no brainer to pick jmm, he can make same amount of money without any risk.

Floyd does care what people say that's the reason his gives his explanations on why he won't fight Mosley. So fans won't say he's a coward he goes on to say Mosley had his chance. It didn't pop up to his head when he was interviewed its something he thinks of afterwards as an excuse.

The quesion being WHY would I fight Mosely, well my answer would be, because I claim to be the best, and in order to prove that I am, I will fight any great name in the boxing world, so that there will be no doubt of my dominance of the boxing world, and why I have earned the title of the P4P king of the ring. Until I have proven myself by eliminating all doubt in the minds of my fans, as well as in my own mind, I have no right to bear that title, for posterities sake and because it is a title that comes without reproach, doubt or any other negative light that can be shed on it.

because floyd is a businessman. cotto, mosley, and pac all offer major paydays. even if he loses to one, he can fight a tune up and fight another one. floyd's nonchalant attitude towards his career is probably a facade.

If I spent every waking moment bragging about how I was an "ATG", or maybe even the all time great, I'd at least have the decency to prove it by fighting the top 3 or 4 men in my weight class, rather than beating up on a guy who normally fights 2 full weight classes under me and that I have a 5" reach advantage on.

The term for that sort of cherry picking is called "Chicken****"...or just plain chicken.

Floyd will never sign a fight with Mosley, for that reason: He's a chicken****.
