people wondering why Mayweather did not knock out Marquez READ THIS...

im a floyd fan and im going to have to stick up for jmm...

    anyway,

i think i know more bout jmm than most of you. when jmm gets knocked down, het gets up and is still sharp and ready to counter. if you guys did not catch it because you cant analyze boxing matches as well as REAL boxing fans that know their ****...floyd tried to go in for the kill after that first knock down. jmm was throwing counters that missed floyd right away. floyd became aware of this and thought there was no point in it because jmm wasnt going any where, 1 because his heart, 2 BECAUSE HE WAS STILL THERE AND READY! floyds style is not go in there like an idiot and get caught trying to finish a GREAT boxer with balls and ring IQ to last him a life time. go back and watch pac trying to do that in his last fight with jmm. it dont matter if floyd was the bigger guy, this wasnt no david and goliath fight, jmm wasnt going anywhere no matter what any of you say. fact, if you go in there and open up to TRY and get jmm out of there, your going to be getting into a fight with a guy that is always still there and live after he gets knocked down or buzzed and some of his accurate punches that hes throwing at you are going to land. and i lol at people who think floyd carried him, as if he wouldnt want the ko. im disgusted at some of the disrespect that jmm is getting on here, jmm is a great fighter, a tough fighter with durability and skills, he deserves more.

and ill tell you what, if jmm came out alive and well from this fight, its because hes a natural counter puncher. your not going to outbox floyd mayweather. but there is a natural brawler out there whos style is perfect pickings for mayweather, that fighter I can guarantee will be easier to knock out.

Floyd didn't need to knock him out to win, so he didn't. He was dominating by pot shoting and countering, so he felt no need to press.

          yeah several reasons..

          Floyd admits he was rusty
          he threw no combos
he obviously held back a bit

But you are right.. JMM is quite a fighter. There was maybe 6-8 lbs of difference between them which I think people are blowing way out of proportion. But yeah, if Floyd had just thrown caution to the wind, he could have been caught nice and good by such a veteran as JMM. Buttt... Floyd woulda still won even if they traded a little.

im a floyd fan i watched the fight last night,**** fight if u ask me,he fought a smaller man he should of done more, all he did was trowing the jab and go into defensive mode.

I think pacquiao would give him a hard time maybe even mosley, floyd didnt trow any combinations in this fight.Freddy roach would study his tapes good, with pac he wouldnt get away this easy, but like i said this fight was boring as hell.

I agree that Marquez is very hard to knock out and quite possibly Floyd couldn't have no matter what he did... it's something I thought before the fight but didn't really voice. However, I was disappointed in Floyd because the beating he dished out for the last 3-4 rounds could have started several rounds earlier. Had he done that, he might have gotten a ref stoppage at least.

Looking at the last Pacquiao fight in the round was any longer it probably would have been over because it looked like Marquez was on ***** street.
