If he tries to slug against Beterbiev he'll get opened up and hurt really badly. Watch the beginning of Round 2 of the Joe Smith fight where the slugged it out and see how ****** it is for anything to stand and trade with such a powerful fighter.
Smith has some glaring weaknesses - all exposed against Ryder, Canelo and Bauderlique and under TWO different trainers.
The one thing he has going for him is the powerful left hook (easily taken away) and he doesn't cut weight anymore to make 168lbs so he's a little stronger than before.
Joe Smith does the same 1 1 2. absolutely basic. also no left hand.

yeah, after Canelo took advantage of yarde giving him a punishing fight just 10 weeks earlier. You must be slow or not follow the sport very closely. If you know boxing, you’d know yarde was stopped on exhaustion after emptying the tank against Kovalev. Not a glass jaw as you stated. Meanwhile smith stood there at 6’3 and let a 5’7 former jmw make him cower against the ropes. He’s a soft brit but hey, if you think he can beat beterbiev, go on and believe. Just prepare for disappointment.

I don't care who does or doesn't sign a contract. Mexicans and Americans do in fact go after nothing but those kind of opponents. They know what benefits are there. They never put themselves in that position for those very reasons. Those that do, lose.
Danny Garcia was finished and had been out a year. If you get opponents in the same boat who are as inactive as you, then it's a level playing field. Duh. How is that the same as going in against an active fighter in their prime? It isn't. But you searched high and low for a reply didn't you. Sorry, but you're just continuing to make an idiot of yourself.
Ugas is a nobody with a style that suits Errol. Had it been a bad style match up, the fight wouldn't have happened. Ugas can't punch either. All he did was beat a shot to pieces Manny and lose to bums.
The reason you'd call them excuses is because it benefits your cowards. If this was done to your fighters across the board, you'd be screaming. Hell, you do that anyway with all your fantasies and delusions.
A fighter should be active, fully trained and ready to go. You know, like they're supposed to be? Yet you think that's some kind of crime or excessive? Haha. No it isn't. If either Charlo fight any top fighter after being out for this long, they're getting smacked around. They won't win. Hell, they find it difficult to do at the best of times. Being this inactive, it will be like taking candy from a baby. But we both know they won't be fighting any top fighter on their return. Don't we?

You know being out for a year isn't Callum being at his best. No athlete is. But is that what you're saying? They're the same fighter? Was Russell the same fighter when he lost to a complete bum in Magsayo?
Ask yourself how Americans and Mexicans have a mass of these fights that the rest of the world combined doesn't have? It's intentional. You just can't bare the fact that your cowards have maxed out and are now degrading themselves. You have to support it because you live vicariously through them like a sad case. As for the comment about Americans and Euro's. Who are these Euro's you speak of? Even when we were in difficulty and picked because of how inactive we were in Taylor and Fury, we still beat your plebs. Even when we were set up you still lost.
