Bradley Pacquiao 1. The conspiracy before the fight even took place was spot on.
I say that [Bradley wins] thinking on business terms, not because Bradley is the better fighter [he's not]. I've met Bradley a bunch of times, and my brother knows him personally (his sister-in-law is like best friends with bradley's wife -- when he bought his wife a car after he signed with top rank, he hid it away in my bros' garage, lol)
I say "business terms" because Pac's near the end of his career and there's no ****ing way, after Arum sunk millions into Bradley with a sizable signing bonus, the money from the Casamayor fight, and the guarantee he's getting in this Pacquiao fight, that Arum would let Bradley lose.
Bradley is set to be Arum's new pet/cash cow. This fight will be a changing of the guard. If Bradley loses, his career (at least as a money maker for Arum) is over. Arum can't let that happen with the investment he's made in Bradley thus far -- if he loses, who else can he fight? his career is pretty established, and his resumé is impressive with wins over peterson, alexander, nate campbell and casamyor -- even though he's fairly unknown. If he loses against elite opposition, he's going to be seen as a B-rate fighter and there isnt much more he can do at this point -- maybe move up in weight? not too much left in the welterweight division right now, so he'd have to move up to like 154 or something, where he'd get destroyed.
On the other hand even if Pac loses, he's still marketable simply because of his status within the sport. A loss, or a controversial decision in a fixed fight would probably even make him MORE popular than he already is. People will be up in arms about that ****. They can make a rematch with Bradley, or see if a loss gets Mayweather in the ring. Either way, **** doesn't matter at this point in his career -- he's already achieved so much and largely cemented his legacy.
Obviously this is all conspiracy theory ****, but I wouldnt put it past Arum. Need proof?
look at Rios vs Abril, which was like 10 rounds to 2, and Rios still won
If he's moving up to 140 after the fight, why not reup with TR? They've got a majority of the players at 140 also
Snitchn' Bill said they were staying at 135 during the Shakur broadcast. Bill may be a snitch, but he's no idiot. Plus, he's a hustler, and hustlers often know when they're being hustled.
I personally believe that he would stick around at 135 for a potential Gervonta Davis fight if he decides to leave Top rank.
It's not smart to get your hopes up too high on that fight.
You think Haney would accept Davis' weight stipulations?
That's just one aspect of the tons of of issues that would come up in the negotiations.

So what are you saying exactly here? I mean, I completely understand the "conspiracy theory" (put in quotations because we all know that it's not a theory), but how does that apply to the Loma and Haney fight? I'm not entirely convinced that Arum is not looking at Haney as a fight by fight contractee.
Everything you said about Bradley and Pacquiao I is true for Lomachenko vs Lopez. I was saying this before the fight, that I thought Loma would get the short-end of the stick because Teofimo is the up'n comer, that a lot of money and expectations are behind him to be the next Top Rank superstar. And no matter how anyone scored the fight, based on the judges' scorecards, Loma had zero chance of winning, even if 10 rounds looked like the 11th round. Loma had to ether land four times the amount of punches on Lopez to win a round or he had to knock him out.
I actually think that this is a similar situation, especially now that Shakur is calling Devin out, and Devin is saying he's sticking around 135. I think this is bad for Loma again. You know what I mean? There's nothing here saying that Haney is not going to work with Top Rank again. The only way Loma gets a fair shake is if Haney announces that he's going to move up after the fight because of the weight cut. But as it stands right now, this is Loma vs Lopez 2.0.
That's how I'm looking at it at the moment. I know how Top Rank moves, and I just see underhanded shenanigans going on all the time. And anyone who says that Loma is Arum's grandson, you have to be real about it. Arum is in his 90s. He's more of a mascot or spokesperson than someone actually running the company. I think Arum doesn't know half of what's going on at Top Rank anymore.

How do we know Tank would put weight stipulations on that fight?
