Mendoza and Fundora are two of the nicest guys in boxing. Need more like them and less of the arrogant, narcistic ones.

      He is who he is.
Even though he's young, I don't think he can unlearn his flaws.
If he moves up, now is the time.
      Falcao, Lara and who ?

''Bad'' guys make for enticing match ups.
Equal parts of both are needed in such an ego driven sport.
It's great when an egotistical cvnt eats his words.
It's also satisfying when they back up their words.

I support the good guys especially when they take the arrogant ones down a notch.

Those wins are, IMHO, more satisfying then 2 good guys going at it
            Ala Gatti vs Ward.

Bad guys bring out the best in a good guy.

He's there to be hit. He gives up his height, bends over his front foot, so much to critique yet he was successful. I hope he banked some dough too. Entertaining while he lasted. I don't think he'll get back into title contention again. Hope I'm wrong because he's fun to watch!
He's definitely a different animal. I thought Lubin would've beat him! Now I would like to see Fundora vs. Lubin rematch!

The pool at 154 is real shallow so its hard not seeing a 25 year old that stands 6'5" not making it back to contention. He was fighting in the main event for a reason, people like to see him fight and the height adds to the intrigue. This was lesson that i think will only make him better going forward. A Lubin Rematch would be a good comeback fight or even a fight with Castaño, they can call it David vs Goliath

Fundora is ruined. He may beat some low level comp now but any good fighter with power will crush him now. He got caught because of his flaws, not because Mendoza is great. Mendoza is good, not an all timer.

Fundora's only advantage was his freakish height. He will get timed by guys now, he has no chin.

After all he was winning pretty much every round until he got timed.
I agreed , he need a new trainer, doesn't mean he has to fired his father, I this point I don't think his father's can help him out in the defensive part. I'm sure he will be okay and a force to be reckon with. Those fans that think he's ruined, are wrong, they might have never heard of Azumah, Arguello, Armstrong, even Duran after his KO loss to Hearns had a great fight against Barkley, and he was done by then.

Fundora was badly hurt. He was out on his feet even before he hit the canvas. He was catatonic and then Mendoza finished him off with a two-piece combination. That was a very scary KO.
