Fury knew Usyk is a stellar boxer, so he overpriced himself as much as he could to avoid this fight. Its a more diplomatic way of avoiding a fight. Usyk would've fought Fury at a very high pace with a lot of moving, angles, feints, fast combos of punches, tricky moves. Fury probably would've tried to push down, lean on and hug Usyk a lot.

I was talking to my dad, he’s a contract lawyer for licensing and huge boxing fan. We always talk about past and present and one thing he mentioned which reminded me of boxing now is THE BOXING LIBRARY OF GREATS TODAY IS EMPTY.
Who will sit with there kids and watch any of the fights of the past decade. Hey Kids let’s watch Fury v Chisora 2, said nobody.
Don’t get me wrong there are a few but I remember watching all the great battles. I understand make your money but a lot of fighters will talk about what if and that’s sad. Few greats fought greats, hats off the Fulton v Inoue and few others who are fighting 50/50 fights. Women seem to get the memo and I’m excited for the future of woman’s boxing!

It would be uncharacteristic for Fury to fight Joyce.

But I suppose you are mentioning Joyce, as a deflection.

Deep down you know? It is more likely Fury has another ticking over fight.

Fury will take big fights, but only when he absolutely has to 'And when there are big rewards on the line'.

Joyce is a big fight, and stylistically win or lose it could be a brutal fight 'More brutal than the Usyk fight'.

The Joyce fight also does not come with the same rewards as the Usyk fight.

So taking all of this into consideration, as David Price has also stated of late 'It would be highly uncharacteristic for Fury to fight Joyce'.

Fury has not been that type of Champion. Fury has not taken on all comers, he has his own rating of worthiness on who actually gets a title fight 'And it seemingly has nothing much to do with rankings'.

Note: I have went on record and stated that, the possibly next moves I can envision Fury playing are 'The vacating of his WBC title' and claiming that he no longer needs a title. This way Fury will not be bothered by mandatory fights or pressure of fighting his nearest competition.

I have stated this before, I don't think Fury likes being a Champion. The requirements and obligations that come with being a Champion 'Fury for me has always excelled when he is the underdog, and much prefers this environment'.

Having just seen a photo of Fury it's pretty clear he wasn't planning to fight in April

I imagine that living in Fury's head is a war zone. I don't imagine that his mental health is very good. I imagine he knows how many fans he lost and struggles with it. I cannot imagine a way he can regain that respect (from many - not all to be clear) without fighting Usyk or Joyce in the next two fights. So if he doesn't, there is no way he should continue.

I'm one of the fan's Fury lost.
My only hope is the Saudis with they're shiny new stadium can make the sasquatch an offer he cant refuse in the Winter.
I think once the Saudis April money vanished with Fury's rediculous demands he had no intention of fighting Usyk.

Usyks the man now, that's a good thing for boxing.

IDK what happened, but I don't believe the public is getting the truth. Similar to the AJ vs. Wilder negotiations, there was a lot of BS in the media.

Still, when Fury and Usyk finally enter the boxing ring, the advantages are in Fury's favor and I don't see anything that's going to change that.
