Comments Thread For: Canelo on Benavidez: They Said the Same Thing About Golovkin; He's a Good Fighter, But I'm Great

Unfortunately, Canelo won't be able to wait until Benavidez is 200 to fight him. I like Canelo and think he's a great, great fighter, but Benavidez presents a bad style match-up for Canelo. Canelo should avoid him like the plague.

Canelo just has to wait until Benavidez is 50 years old, buy the judges, get juiced up and we have a fight.

Oooops, Canelo also needs a Time Machine.

Do I need to bring up your posts prior to Canelo-GGG I again?

You need to stop embarrassing yourself.

Yes, they did say the same thing about Golovkin, which is why Canelo relinquished his WBC title to avoid fighting him till he was 35 years old, and still needed corrupt judges to avoid taking a loss.

Couldnt have said it better myself. Pissin dirty, then crying about no trilogy. Then went 12 in a lackluster fight vs GGGrandpa after saying he was going to khtfo

No lies told here. Benavidez isn't as technically sound or proficient as Golovkin was but will present a different set of issues/attributes that will trouble Canelo. Great fight, let's hope we can get it sooner rather than later.

As long as Benevidez hides from the better fighters he'll still be fresh at 50 unless his coke habit gets him. Why didn't he fight Plant before Canelo got to him? Could he not have fought Lemieux before Saunders humiliated him. I hope Canelo offers him the fight next I want to see if he's willing to cross the street or it'll be I'm the A side to Canelo now ..

First time I saw Benevidez interviewed he sounded so good until you realize he's followed through with literally nothing :-( .. Come on David step up for once.
