Why Anthony Joshua was unable to knockout Franklin ?

Was it because he was shorter than AJ and that is Aj weakness fighting shorter men or was it because he is too cautious these days.

Maybe because Franklyns chin is tougher than Wlads and Charles Martins of this world. I mean some of the punches land on frankly would have koed everyone hes fought. The guys he was knocking out earlier in his career were going down far easier than some of the ppunches he landed on Franklyn. So Josh is just fighting some good people who are underated.

you don't have to knock every opponent out. plenty of bums Fury and Ali never knocked out.

          There's a few variables.

Franklin didn't come to win, he came to spoil.
He was constantly grabbing and holding. Really hard to fight people like that, and definitely hard to look good. He also had a great chin to those single shots.

Could AJ have just opened up and knocked him out? Probably. He tried to be patient, not risk anything and let the knockout come, but once that becomes the rhythm of the fight it's very hard to break it, especially against a spoiler.
