I'm an AJ fan but fighting Franklin was an absolute waste of time and proves nothing. Then to not even get the knockout was just embarrassing.
You think Whyte defeated Franklin easily? It was a majority decision and some actually thought Franklin won. AJ was coming off two consecutive defeats vs Usyk. Didn't he deserve and need a tune up? Dillian is pissed because not only did he miss out on a big payday against Joshua, but he also lost some stock because AJ did a better job vs Franklin.

I'll be glad when this guy moves on ....out of boxing , he looks very fat again..but wants a rematch against Joshua because he said he lost because , by his own admission he was 'out of shape' !

Well he defeated him regardless, surely that deserves the AJ payday.
Franklin is a nobody, fair play if AJ fought him when undefeated but ridiculous fighting him coming off a loss to Whyte.
AJ is coming off two 12 round decisions to one of the most technically gifted heavyweights in a long time, an undefeated undisputed Cruiserweight champion. Not sure why you think AJ needs a tune up against some bum after 24 rounds of highest quality boxing. Fair play he lost and might need a pick me up fight. Would be better if that was against Whyte though since he won the Franklin match and deserved it. Would be a fight fans would actually want to watch, would settle the grudge, and AJ would still go into that as a massive favourite / low risk fight.
May as well have a tuneup against Helenius based on that train of throught.
Fight against Franklin coming off a loss does absolutely nothing other than prove he can beat a guy Whyte literally just beat. Pointless fight.
Ridiculous to say Whyte lost stock due to this also. Whyte beat an undefeated Franklin, always difficult taking the 0. AJ just mopped up his scraps. Whats he going to do next? Fight Chisora to 'take some of Furys stock' lol

Whyte is such an angry little weasel. The vitriol he showed to AJ before and after their fight was disgusting, skulking out of the ring at the end without shaking hands or acknowledging AJ or doing interviews, all entirely unwarranted seeing as AJ at that time was the nicest, humble and most professional boxer on the circuit (at least before his losses to Usyk).

Joshua needed a tune up. The guy was a mess after the second loss to Usyk. He made his choice and we all have to live with it. There is no grudge to settle between Joshua and Whyte. He GKTFO when he fought AJ. How do you figure Dillian deserved to fight him next? Because he barely beat virtual nobody Franklin? Do either of them hold a belt? No. Did a sanctioning body order a fight between them? No. AJ can fight anyone he pleases and doesn't owe Whyte a damned thing.

Are you saying Franklin was harder in the Whyte fight because he was undefeated ? Franklin wasn’t even in optimal shape against Whyte and had an entire camp this time for Joshua , another example of todays fans who don’t get it . Smh .

Fighters improve after loses at this stage they don’t get worse ,this is boxing 101, Franklin is only going to improve so you think he’ll suddenly regress now after fighting Joshua because he didn’t win ? Lol

Whyte vs Franklin was NOT a split decision. It was a majority decision.

Having said that, I do agree that many people question that scoring. I can see AJ wanting a lower-level opponent but perhaps a recently defeated fighter with literally no win against any ranked opponent was a new low for him. Even then, he couldn't get the KO and somewhat embarrassed himself showing more aggression after the fight and during it.

It would be funny if Wilder or Joyce or Fury fights Jermaine next and KO's him.

As for AJ, I would like to see AJ vs Wilder or Joyce or Fury. Whyte could fight Ortiz whom he has been avoiding even when his mandatory position depended on it.

You're right, it was a majority decision because one judge ruled it a draw. I think Joshua needed a relatively easy fight to regain some confidence. However, I do believe that he's lost something mentally and would get KOd by either Wilder, Fury or Joyce at this point. As for his aggression after the fight, it was probably a delayed reaction to Franklin shoving him a couple of times during the fight.
