Mosley wanted no parts of Floyd back then, so to hell with him now. Now Mosley needs Floyd for a big payday, but Floyd does not need to fight a 38 year-old Shane with 5 losses. He also didn't need Shane in 2006, when he was ranked #1 P4P and Shane was coming off beating a shot Fernardo Vargas at 154.
Floyd also didn't need Shane in 1999. In fact, it could be argued that Shane needed Floyd more. Since many expected Mosley to win Fighter of the Year, but Floyd ended up getting the award, it could be argued that even then Shane was the one with something to prove.
