First MOSLEY called him out after MARGARITO win and MAYWEATHER said he is not interested.
He was interested in blown up featherweight JMM.
And he called him out after JMM fight and MAYWEATHER backed out again.

Funny thing is that MAYWEATHER is talkin about 1999 when MOSLEY was superstar and MAYWEATHER was nobody.

I'm not gonna read this topic, so this may have been posted before, but Mayweather was a star in 1999.

He had won Ring Magazine Fighter of the Year in 1998, an award many people thought should've gone to Mosley. What better way to settle who it belonged to than by having them fight each other? Mosley wanted no parts of Floyd back then, so to hell with him now. Now Mosley needs Floyd for a big payday, but Floyd does not need to fight a 38 year-old Shane with 5 losses. He also didn't need Shane in 2006, when he was ranked #1 P4P and Shane was coming off beating a shot Fernardo Vargas at 154.

Floyd also didn't need Shane in 1999. In fact, it could be argued that Shane needed Floyd more. Since many expected Mosley to win Fighter of the Year, but Floyd ended up getting the award, it could be argued that even then Shane was the one with something to prove.

You are so full of **** I am surprised you haven't drowned in it. Mosley wasn't a superstar in 1999 in terms of making money. He was a champion at 135, but before he moved up to 147 to fight de la Hoya, Mosley's biggest payday was $500,000. He could have made three times that amount fighting Mayweather at 135. Mosley woudln't give Mayweather a chance in 1999. So why should Mayweather give Mosley a chance now?.

In 1999, Mosley was draining bigtime. He came into his last fight with John Brown weighing 153 on Fight Night in a 135 lbs bout. He looked so dry in that fight. They wanted the fight at a catch weight of 137. Mosley moved up to 147.

September 05 - July 06 had three fights trying to get his confidence back. He also let it be known before Floyd even asked for a fight. That he was taking a break in November. He told Floyd to fight Margo for the $8 mill and we can make it happen early next year.

Truth be told nobody ducked anyone. It happens in boxing sometimes. They just couldn't come to an agreement. Now with that said the fight is going to happen

Mosley vs Mayweather is the second biggest fight to made in boxing right now after a Pac fight. The crazy thing is that Mosley has tried to get 3 fights this year. He tried to get Floyd earlier, but Floyd wanted $20 mill at the time. He tried to get Cotto but Arum said it had to be at MSG and there wasn't enough money for a 50/50 split. He tried to get Pac right before the Hatton. He asked for the winner on ESPN. Plus HBO didn't want the Clottey fight and moved the dates around. Finally they said they didn't want it anymore.

Mosley should just beat Berto in January first. Then beat the IBF belt holder and unify the divison. After that him and Floyd should have no problem fighting. I wish they would fight next. But having 3 belts would make the fight worth more and be very interesting
