Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua: In The Next 15 Years, Nobody Will Remember Franklin Fight

Anthony Joshua and Jermaine Franklin had to be separated at the end of their contest. The pair locked horns in the immediate aftermath at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday night. Joshua was back in the ring for the first time since losing in a rematch at the hands of Oleksandr Usyk last August.

Such a weird thing to say. Sure he was trying to make a point, but a bad choice of words. He looked like he was struggling to control his emotions leading up to that interview.

AJ Is honest and doesn’t put forth any false bravado. It doesn’t bother him to be vulnerable and he communicates just what he’s thinking. In the years to come it will be looked back on as being quite refreshing and contrarian to the common way we are used to hearing so many morons speak.

He trained for a KO, expected a KO but got a wide decision - he was expressing disappointment and he's not wrong - except it'll be 5 years not 15

Well AJ, don't be so sure the world is still here that much longer. And people forgot about the fight fifteen seconds or minutes after the fight, how dreary it was.

It was a waste of time fight. AJ is in his mid 30s, barely fights and has multiple losses. Theres no real rebuilding process to be had here. Even if he'd blasted Franklin out of there in a few rounds it wouldnt have raised his stock all that much, and if anything this uninspiring performance against a no name has lowered his stock even more.
