I only liked Collins when he was in Brand X.

How all this applies to boxing, though, I'm definitely not feeling. Different contexts, different concepts, different times. Weak logic from you, again. Get back to me when there's a Wlad fight on, and we'll probably agree on something for once.
How can anybody be so thick to not get my point?

My point is, you're living in the past, just like the song says. You believe that the boxers were better back in YOUR day.

Sometimes people as they get older like to relive their youth, feeling and believing that everything was better back in those days! But in reality, it wasn't better back in YOUR time - you just feel that way because you were younger then and got more of a thrill out of what you were watching.

It will requires a little intelligence and insight for you to understand that.

I fookin love that stuff. Holdsworth, Ritenour, Gambale, McLaughlin/Mahavishnu Orchestra, Pastorius, anything fusion I can usually handle. Holdsworth being my absolute number one (saw him live, too).

Holy ****! Another Holdsworth fan on BoxingScene! Hell yes.

What's your fav Holdsworth album? I like the earlier stuff, Atavachron maybe is my fav. Allan recently played with a band I work for -- Planet X. Did you catch his tracks on their last album?

Look, OK, so it's the song. I couldn't be arsed to click the link because I don't dig the band. I didn't notice that the title had a bearing to your post. Jeez already.

And as for actually living in the past, you're getting waaaaaay off the mark there. Always twisting my words like the little ****-stirrer you are. Would I think Bowe, Tyson, Lennox and Holyfield could **** with Wlad? ****, no. They'd have the hardest fight of their careers if they went up against that beast, and could possibly lose.

Likewise any other division - I think we're seeing the best of all time right now, and anyone from the past would have trouble with the current crop of champs lower down in weights. The only division which I think sucks is the HW division, as I said earlier, because there's only one good champion around who would give any past guys problems.

                So stop twisting **** already.

                  Sometimes true and sometimes not.

I just brought up a thread the other day discussing if Tommy Hearns and Sugar Ray Leonard were in their prime at WW now....how would it look?

Do you really think those two lose against the likes of Cotto, Floyd, Pac, Berto, and Mosley?

Take the Klitschkos out of the equation because they are very good...and look at the contenders of the division and compare them to the previous era, the 90's.

Well holy ****, I didn't see that coming.

Favourite album has to be Hard Hat Area. It was my first from him, having now bought them all, and I got it signed by the great man himself (plus Wackerman and Johnson). The only ones actually missing from my collection are Flat Tire and Sunbird... I NEED them!

Planet X, though. Now we're talking crazy ****. I wish they'd make more albums, because they blow my mind (likewise T-Mac and Garsed desperately need new albums out). Holdsworth's lines on Quantum were insane. MoonBabies remains my favourite, though.

You work for Planet X...??? :shk1:

Yeah, I work for PX doing web-based stuff. Awesome band.

Tony has a new album in the works and he also just rejoined Planet X. I can't wait for their next album, I'm hoping it's as good as Moonbabies, which is their best, IMO.

Where did you see Holdsworth live? I've always wanted to see him but somehow never managed to catch a show. This is a guy I've been reading about and intrigued with since 1986 when I first heard his name mentioned in Guitarist magazine. I think it's getting a bit late now because Al is getting old. Allan 'Oldsworth. LOL!

Great to know there's someone on here who appreciates real musicians. Respect to you my man.

PS: I have "The Things You See/Sunbird". I was never into those albums though.
