Haney vs Lomachenko, what is your prediction?

loma is 35 and should really be at 130. haney should really be at 140. look at them side by side and devin looks to be 2 weight classes bigger.

he is going to jab and grab loma. he is going to pop shot him and hug him before loma can fire back and use his size to wear loma down and keep him hugged up.

its going to be a borning **** fight. loma is clearly more skilled but this is going to be a stinker. haney aint going to just box him outside because there is still high risk he looses even at loma's advanced age.

I'm neutral on this fight. I'd rather see Loma win so he can fight Davis for no belts. Exciting style matchup.

Before this fight was even seriously considered, I've said on here I expected a snoozefest, and that prediction hasn't changed. Bad stylistic fight.

The only way this fight will be exciting is if Loma comes to fight and not box. Forget most of that matrix BS. Stand your ground and fight. Can Loma still do that?

Depends what the promoters have planned. It's gonna b a close fight that can go either way but it's all in who the judges are told to favor. This is Haney's last fight with TR, so they might use this to get loma the belts then make the Shakur fight after. If they think Haney is gonna resign with them I can see them giving Haney the fight cause he's younger, more marketable, and at the beginning of his career where Loma is on his way out. It wouldn't surprise me at all to have a very controversial decision a la Williams v lara or even rolly vs barroso.

I have Loma by razor close decision, hell I could even see a draw. No way Haney is leaving Top Rank with all those belts if it’s close. Full credit if he pulls off a clear victiry.

If the Loma of old shows up, Lomachenko puts on a masterclass otherwise it's Haney by boring, pitty pat, jab and grab decision.

I have no problem with the size advantage as 5'7" Loma is not new with the opponent being bigger. Ortiz, 5'8" is the same size as Haney, except Haney has longer reach. Commey is the same size, 5'8". Campbell is 5'9", Nakatani is 5'11".

I still go with Loma, regardless of age difference.

When writers, fans and announcers discuss size advantage or disadvantage regarding Lomachenko vs Haney, they are talking about the weight difference on fight night, not height.

Think for a second, Roy Jones Jr and Mike Tyson are 5’11”. You think since Lomachenko stopped Nakatani who’s 5’11”, that he could compete against Roy Jones Jr at 160-175 or Mike Tyson at Heavyweight? No, because height isn’t what constitutes size.

You are bringing up height and claiming that’s size. That’s size. Boxing has no height classes, it’s weight classes, that’s how much a fighter weighs, not how tall or short they are.

Lomachenko is too old to deal with the heavier Haney’s clinching, running and jabbing antics. Lomachenko is a clean boxer, not a wrestler. He is going to get bullied in there, there is nothing Lomachenko can do to Haney when his arms are being held every 5 seconds.

Idk why, they are severely overlooking Lomachenko’s age, Haney’s size and style (jab and grab).

I fully expect Haney to win at least 9 rounds.

Lomachenko also doesn’t have a dirty bone in him, or any mean streak against dirty fighters. Salido beat him basically by being way bigger and being dirty, and all Lomachenko did was look at the ref for help, after he was getting none, he still did nothing back.

It will be the same here. Haney will continuously clinch and get grab, Lomachenko will complain to the ref while losing rounds due to Haney’s dirty tactics, and do nothing back to Haney to stop him from clinching.
