Yeah, that's true. But when has Loma ever been unable to close the distance on an opponent? Loma has better feet than JoJo, so to say that he won't be able to close the distance is crazy talk. He's going to close the distance. The question is how is Haney going to handle it.
Haney vs Lomachenko, what is your prediction?

I agree fully but the caveat is Haneys jab, if Loma is stuck on the end of it he cant win Haney will just pivot off him all night, as Donito pointed out if Loma is on an in the zone night he could break Haney and take him places he has never been before, there is a huge incentive for Loma its a massive legacy fight so I feel he will be coming for real, Loma is a real live dog in this Im watching the betting I may have a dip on Loma if the odds are good.

Yeah. I'm with you. I really don't bet anymore on boxing because I've been burned too many times by the judges; however, I think I'll make an exception for this fight. The odds are too good.

And speaking about Haney's jab, check on his jab stats when he fought Diaz:

I think that should given anyone confidence in betting on Loma.Comment

I'm glad to see Loma entering the fight as an underdog. Like his buddy, Usyk, he is not afraid to go into the unknown. I wish him the best and honestly see him inning this one. Haney's size and jab and grab might do it, but I do know that Loma doesn't allow holding. He always slides his arms out from the grab and complains to the ref. I think he will do that all night and if Haney wins, he's actually going to have to show more, which he may have. I think it's gonna be good for both guys. I see Loma winning the popular vote but if it's close with no knockdowns, it's boxing. They'll give it to Haney. However, Loma might have a big surprise in him. He's never taken a beating and has plenty left in the tank. WAR Loma!Comment

I have always underestimated Loma in every fight. It always seemed 50/50 to me. I don't know why. Campbell was a huge guy and that was not an easy fight for Loma.
I thought Arum started throwing him under the bus when he gave him Lopez. (Arum congratulating Lopez in the post fight with a huge smile on his face looked like a revelation.)
Then Arum giving Commey who just had a KO win for Loma's comeback fight seemed a confirmation of my su****ion. Then the Nakatani fight. These are big guys and not exactly easy fights for stay busy fights. Why not Magdaleno, Diaz? You know, small guys.
I found later that Loma was actually excited and thankful he was being given such fights just to prove he'll do it better than Lopez.
50/50 for me.Comment

Tough call because although Haney is good and the champ, he’s just never impressed me at all. On the other hand, Loma is ridiculously undersized at 135 and appears to be on the decline. I’ll go out on a limb and say Loma wins a close one that could’ve gone either way. I think Bob would rather have Loma lose to Shakur so he might pull his old tricks here.Last edited by _original_; 03-31-2023, 11:37 PM.Comment

Ive felt like every fight at 135 is dangerous for Loma but he has held up aside from the Lopez fight. He is getting long in the tooth as well but as someone said it comes down to who can control the distance. Its hard to call honestly.Comment
