A great fighter can take away one weapon from another fighter. Loma is a great fighter. Haney has one weapons. A jab. A weapon that is notoriously ineffective against southpaws to begin with, just because of the lead hand vs lead hand mechanics and Haney has only fought one south paw.
The clinching game is completely different as well, and Haney doesn't have the experience. Loma is quite good inside and has a good clench game, great defense, and movement.
I think the real question mark in this fight is what does Haney have once Loma neutralizes his jab. It better be something good, or hes going to have a long long night.
The real questions around how the fight play out are 1) How long will it take Loma to neutralize Haneys jab. 2) Does haney have any answers for when that eventually happens?
If it takes too long for Loma to neutralize the jab, Haney can win a decision. If it doesn't, it seems unlikely Haney has an answer for a Loma that has taken away his only weapon.
It will be nothing like the fight with Lopez, because Haney can't punch is way out of a wet paper bag, where as Lopez had some power to be weary of, so I expect Loma to get onto him much sooner.
