what stopped him from stopping one of fmw jr's tmt fighters? we all saw plant gas against uzcategui and canelo so we knew he doesn't have a second half like tony harrison. canelo needs to take him to mexico in a stadium fight, drug test him (none for plant fight so he cut 168 with abs for the first time) and beat the breaks off of him. can run it back with bivol and take another L anytime but he needs to take care of ramirez 2.0, wide looping punches, very basic come forward fighter who relies on size.

Hearn is talking like a typical casual fan from this site.

first it was like: oh, we will give Bivol to Canelo, because Bivol looked beatable fighting Richards ( he even said Bivol this to his face)

Now it is like: oh, Benavidez would be easy for Canelo, because it took him 12 round to beat Plant, Canelo did it in 11 rounds

      casual

Have you seen canelo resting on the ropes against Bivol and GGG?

If Canelo does that against Benavidez, the things will be dirty for him.

Canelo will be an easier fight for Benavidez than Plant was. He will be right infront of him eating his combinations.

Now that would be a cool story alrite.
Plant was on his dirt bike from 7-12 and only rarely stopped to exchange.

Can we please not forget that if this fight just goes the distance we see time and time again that judges steal and gift rounds for Canelo all the damn time. If Canelo wins one more round then plant did on Benavides he will get the Dec we all know this. Benavides even if he wins wont beat him as bad as plant nor shut him out like Bivol.

Canelo is a far better boxer than Benavidez, who, by the way, looked slow and aimless for 5 straight rounds against Plant. Canelo is going to **** that big slow body worse than he ever has any other opponent. Canelo could not ask for a better style than David's. He doesn't have to chase, just sit back and counter this guy to death.
hopefully Canelo and his team feel as confident as you and not wait for David to lose his mandatory position on the scales or move up. Remember how they never wanted no part of the WBC when David had it but as soon and he lost it on the scales Canelo and his team wrote a letter to the WBC requesting to fight for it. This feels like the "special 155lb weight class' all over again. We had to wait 4 yrs for the GGG fight.... Ryder then Bivol and then we have to wait till 2024 for the David fight and that's if he doesn't lose to Ryder and stays healthy. fingers cross hopefully we get the fight sooner than later.

Benavidez is going to get the sht beat out of him and then out-maneuvered when Canelo wants to take a breather before returning to beating him up. Or he’s going to get clipped and KO’d.

Canelo’s weakness is his feet, which Bivol & Mayweather (Golovkin to a degree also) compounded with a long range assault i.e Jabs and pokes before jumping out of range. Benavidez wont stress Canelo’s legs. And his style is to march forward into the inside where he can burst off a combo. He barely has an existent long-range game. Any decent boxer will stick him with a punch to put him off balance and spin out or light him up before moving out.

I’d hope Canelo puts a callout on Benavidez after Ryder to call the bluff. Benavidez is the only one in his team who wants that fight.

Just realizing the guys that have beaten Canelo thus far have some of the best footwork I’ve ever seen in boxing. Golovkin has that impeccably efficient and offensive footwork, Bivol is the perfectly balanced master, Mayweather the perfect defense. Benavidez’s footwork meanwhile is dogsht. Nvm the insane technical level of those guys. Benavidez is a pup with some natural instincts, but he’s no master or even close.
