But regardless, if we went by this logic we would mention how a former flyweight in pac stopped Cotto but canelo couldn’t. Or how fonfara dropped and made Chavez jr quit but canelo couldn’t even hurt Chavez jr despite hitting him with everything he had for 12 rounds.
Or how Hearns knocked out Duran who beat Barkley who knocked out Hearns. Or how Foreman destroyed Norton who beat Ali who knocked out Foreman. Tons of examples...Styles make fights. Canelo may make Benavidez miss badly at times, but he won't be able to do that for 12 rounds. If I were Canelo, I'd stay away from Benavidez too.

Richards gave Bivol harder fight than Canelo did, so he must be better than Canelo.

Soto Karass stopped Berto, Mayweather couldn`t. So Soto Karass was better than Floyd.

I don't know about way easier, but Benavidez presents a different challenge than Bivol at 175lbs. Canelo can lose another decision to Bivol at 175lbs and just say it's the weight and complain about the decision, but if he can't hurt Benavidez, the loss won't be pretty. I think Benavidez may be an even tougher style match up for Canelo than GGG was at 160lbs. We just have to see if Canelo's sharp offense is enough to tame Benavidez or not.

I dont have anything against Hearn but Im really beginning to think this rich dude just woke up 1 day and decided to become a boxing promoter. When it comes to boxing analysis the guy comes off as knowledgeable as a woman going for a boxer because, "she likes his trunks."

Alvared isn't going anywhere near Benavidez. He's just to sensitive. He'll rematch Bivol at 175 to take the heat off ducking his mandatory. Ya are hearing it right now. If the Bivol fight doesn't happen after the Ryder cherry picker, clenelo will either request the franchise shtt or give up the WBC title. He is never getting in there with Benavidez

                  From what I gather,
Canelo wants revenge with Bivol first.
                  Then he's down for Benavidez.
Cool, let's hold him to that.
                  And also,
let's hold Benavidez to that hitlist
That list includes Andrade, Morrell & Charlo.
                  If he fights anybody else,
I expect everyone to dogpile on him too.

Just curious, does deflecting from Canelo’s avoidance of Benavidez by bringing up other names (who aren’t even mentioned anywhere in this article) that also avoid fighters make you feel better about Canelo’s reluctance to fight Benavidez? Because you mention all of the other fighters you want, doesn’t change what canelo is doing and rightfully being criticized for.

Hearn doesn't get to promote Canelo/Benavidez so naturally he's against it.

As for the tougher opponent....Benavidez is equally as difficult and twice as dangerous. A mistake and Bivol bruises your ego and Benavidez win or lose his opponents always end up in the hospital, nobody walks away undamaged.

Canelo may even believe he can beat Benavidez on some level but I'm absolutely certain he knows he'll take tremendous damage in return.
