But using him as an example of what not to do probably isn’t the best approach because I’m sure most current would switch their careers to have his. The better example would be Charlo and Andrade who have done nothing and still haven’t made any massive pay days while waiting on Canelo. Benavidez is at least trying to make meaningful fights and imo deserves a shot at Canelo more than anyone Canelo has faced at 168 so far.
I don’t think Benavidez is that deserving but I’ll agree to disagree with most of what you said
The reason why I used GGG is because he literally reminded me of a puppy chasing his master

You gotta want to leave the life , not just forget it but actually pull a 360
Meaning even though they are childhood friends and whatnot , you almost have to come to the point of not even saying hello to them
Not sure how Jose went about it but just thinking and knowing what I know , his brother getting caught doing coke means they were still in the same circles as before
I’m only saying this because I recall reading something about David being very tight with his older bro and most likely hanging with the same crowd
I can be horribly wrong but like I always say , this ain’t my first fughin rodeo
David does appear to be more aware of the pit fall's that the wrong element can bring into your life. So I think he's learned his lesson, I'm not sure if Jose Jr., has, but he hasn't come up on any legal problem's since the shooting, so maybe he has to a certain extent.

I wasnt talkin bout you bro. Just responding to the article and those weirdos that claim David doesnt deserve it. Hes Gingers mandatory. If John the Killer Ryder gets his mando shot, so should Benavidez next year. I dont think Saul is gonna fight in December after gettin his sh.it pushed in by Bivol in September. All these Saul fanbois keep making more excuses for their god not to fighy his MANDATORY. Hell, they should just tell their boy to give up the belt. Make it easy on themselves instead of comin up with more bs

Benavidez deserves it, no doubt, but he shouldn`t wait for Canelo.

Look what happened to GGG waiting for Canelo. he fought Canelo 3 times any nobody else.
Andrade is still waiting on Canelo, doing nothing, he fought nobody.
Charlo is waiting, doing nothing, he fought nobody.

I mean, what if Canelo decides to vacate?

Canelo has many options, but so has Benavidez. he can fight Andrade or Morrell at 168, Bivol at 175, Beterbiev at 175.

Canelo is in decline. He could simply retire after Ryder fight.

I think between Bivol and Benavidez; Canelo should choose to fight the latter because he is a lot easier to hit and has a much higher punch volume than Dmitry; Which makes him a very easy target to counter punch. Besides; Alvarez is never beating Bivol. He is just too big and just too skilled for Canelo.

bivol at 175(september) and then benavidez at 168(may 2024), those should be next for canelo, it will be interesting to see if he takes a tune up in between bivol and benavidez fights, maybe in december... if i was his trainer , i will go for benavidez first, then for bivol, maybe by then bivol already has all 4 titles... the only other interesting fights for now are charlo at 168 and beterbiev at 175...

lmao why u talking September? He’s fighting bivol in September. This is in his previous contract. Stop begging for a canelo fight David I see u. Keep winning and it will come. Unless ur scared to fight too opposition

False narrative. GGG has no stellar opposition besides canelo his whole career. His best opponent besides canelo is 147 lb kell Brook who came up 2 weight divisions to challenge him like 7 years ago. GGG ducked Pavlik garcia taylor hopkins ward Kovalev Lara .All these guys fought in and around his weight division throughout his career and GGG somehow avoided fighting them all. You could make a case that Cotto ducked him. But that is also paper thin as cotto was on the last 2 fights of his career he took the belt from garcia then fought floyd and retired. So the myth of GGG being ducked his whole career is quite the myth. His career was sculpted like lomachenkos. They avoided all fighters that could possibly beat them to sit around and beg for top paydays. GGG and benevidez are what’s wrong with boxing today. Just fight and win and you will get the big fights. Benevidez has one good win his whole career now he expects a shot at the top fighter in the sport. It’s not reality

Like benevidez fans screaming deserve deserve deserve lol. Canelo has like 9 belts he has lots of mandatories he’s also unifying divisions and challenging for titles against better fighters than benevidez in higher weight classes. He doesn’t need to do anything he’s already fighting better fighters than benevidez. Ur argument is that he’s ducking David to fight bivol lmao. Except bivol is much better than benevidez so I’m not sure how that makes sense?
