Joshua/Hearn probably did threaten to drop the belt. They probably also threatened to just fight once for the minimum mandatory split and that's all Usyk would get. Usyk probably threatened to force the fight to purse bids unless the money was right. They both would have played every card they had.

The difference is, both parties got the fight made. They both gave, they both took, and landed on a pretty reasonable deal given Usyk was a beltless mandatory. Usyk wanted Joshua's belts and so did Joshua. So they fought for them.

It's incredible to think that the best Usyk could do in the voluntary Fury negotiations, holding three belts and two current great wins, was 30%... and 50/50 if he fought a voluntary defence as an Undisputed champion.

It can't be defended as 'the same'. It's a different situation.

Usyk lives in a borderline 3rd world country and he just made $75 million from the AJ rematch, he will never have to work again, he is super rich now. Fury offered him a BETTER SPLIT than with AJ, if he REALLY wanted to fight for undisputed he could have done so.

He got the belts and was given the compensation for it as you said with a better split offering. He turned that down because it wasnt "better enough". So he doesnt want the fight, its that simple.

Fury's offer was more than fair given their relative popularity.

AJ wants the lions share lol, he needs a reality check i think, but then again they seem to like him in the middle east so maybe......

usyk could have taken the 30% and 50% in the rematch if he won, or fury could have taken the 70%x2 if he won, i still dont really get why fury wouldnt gobble up the idea of that last offer if he beat this guy easy its in theory easy cash for him, that would have given him max cash and undisputed heavy champ, nice and if he wanted AJ after than he could have offered him 10% LMAO

Ive read reports that it could still get made later this year on early next.Hope so.
Fury didn't want a rematch regardless of the outcome. Usyk was the one stalling negotiations for a rematch clause and when he finally got it he got butthurt when Fury wanted the lions share in a rematch he didn't want.

The funny thing is all 3 of these guys, fury, joshua & usky are very wealthy individuals, usyk obtaining a large share from his AJ rematch (thanks AJ) so all the bickering is not really called for i dont think, its the damn blood money from middle east that has upped the stakes, maybe they are all greedybellies lol

joshua got his ass handed to him (well kinda) twice by the guy whos getting the 30%'er but thats not how boxing works, is AJ still a bigger 'star' than usyk? who is twinkling the brightest or who has the most starlets?

This is where Usyk's media onslaught trying to frame Fury as the ducker fooled people.

Fury didn't want a rematch clause. And apparently they had agreed to 50/50 but Usyk changed his mind and went to the Ukraine. Then his promoter blitzed the media saying Fury wanted "too much" and Usyk simply couldn't deal with the demands.

Fury thought the fight was on. Usyk pulled out after they had agreed to everything.

You think beating AJ who’s been knocked out by Andy ruiz and twice beaten by a guy who arguably lost to maris bredis( just got schooled by jai opetia who fought with a broken arm)? I’m so utterly confused by the fury haters lol. Usyk isn’t a fighter that anyone in the HW division is ducking. No one at cruiserweight even ducked this guy rofl. Gassiev came up to HW trying to get a rematch. Dude also lost to Del Boy to anyone with eyes so keep detracting fury’s wins over chisora but both his wins over chisora are more impressive than any win in usyks career
He just told you how so, wtf lol Fury is a HABITUAL ducker, he ducked Klitschko 2nd fight , ducked AJ , to fight no skill wilder, ducked the F OUT of Usyk fight even when they guy agreed on 70-30 split.... AJ has more balls then this cokehead
                These are #FACTS

Yes, I also agree with you.

It is safe to say Fury beats Usyk easily, we all know that, so we all are ok with Fury fighting the real challenges like Chisora 4 or Charr.

I dont get why he turned down 30-70 with Fury and 50-50 for the rematch. That is better deal than last time.

Now beltless AJ is going to demand 50-50 with Fury. here we go.
AJ can demand what he wants.

You will get Fury fighting bums like Charr.

Fury is a bum in a bummy HW era
Fate smiled on him, making him the biggest (literally) bum of them all.

A 6'6'' Fury gets owned by Del Boy.
