Last night proved that Benavidez has a better engine, throws more punches and is a bigger, longer perhaps physically stronger guy whereas Canelo is the more skilled, more powerful, more accurate/clean puncher and is better at stopping his opponents when he hurts them. David had Plant hurt from the 8th but couldn't get him out of there.

Canelo-Benavidez is a very interesting fight because of these points and I'm more intrigued in this fight than I was before. Hope it happens sometime in the near future.

Canelo knocked out plant easily. Bumavidez couldnt even drop him

This is a dumb simplistic take that doesn't take into account styles or anything else. Plant KO'd Dirrell cold, Benavidez never even dropped Direll. But Benavidez beat Plant down.

I agree, for example:

-Canelo went to decision against Miguel Cotto, but Margarito knocked him out.
-Canelo couldn't drop Erislandy Lara, but Jarrett Hurd did and won in better fashion.
-Canelo dragged Amir Khan from two weight classes below and knocked him out in 6 rounds, Danny Garcia did so in 4 rounds.

Yet most wouldn't pick Margarito, Hurd and DSG over Canelo right?

Plant also ran way more than he did vs Saul. U forgot that part. And the wacka.ss ref wouldnt let them fight on the inside
