I don't think Usyk cares about money. He already said he'd fight for free if it got the fight done because all he cares about is undisputed. I expect he'd either retire, or else clean out the division and then retire. He'd only rematch if it seemed necessary for his legacy, such as a close fight or controversial decision. He's always been clear that he's fighting for his legacy.

Well stated!!!
It wouldn't be much of a fight if Fury was the only one in the ring.
The opponent always matters. In this case the opponent has great credibility, is well liked in the UK and globally, and brings three quarters of the heavyweight belts. And was taking only 30%!!!
In the event of a rematch he would be giving a voluntary defence of his Undisputed Heavyweight Championship of the World to a man he just beat. At that point I don't care who the home fighter is.
It's a dead argument.Comment

Fury will lose to Joyce if he dares fight him
Usyk will lose to Wilder if he dares fight him
Fury & Usyk could lose to one another but they both want Saudi money or on Usyk's side a retirement fund with a rematch clause
The trick is for both Fury & Usyk to fight soft touches to stay busy...I don't see Usyk fighting Dubious...I don't see Usyk managing to hold onto them belts without getting stripped. I don't see Fury fighting anyone...I see his rep getting hurt pretty badly whilst he sits out.
Meanwhile the HW division idles....
I Don't see Fury AJ either unless Fury sees it as a way to save face...because he would make more money and he would beat him easier than Usyk...
Fury is playing a game sadly that's boxing in todays world.Last edited by miniq; 03-24-2023, 03:43 PM.Comment

It isn't a good fight if one of them is at their worst while the other is at their best. It's grotesque cheating and cowardice of the worst kind.I'm thanking Tank because he's giving us a good fight! Ryan gets what he deserves because he's too obsessed with Tank! He should've fought Haney 2 years ago @ 135, so I'm still mad at him for that! He could've chased Teo @ 140 too! I'm happy for Teo! JT was talking about Crawford, but he stuck around for Teo, because he knew he couldn't f-k with Bud! So yeah, I'm glad we're getting that fight!
Yes, Garcia is guilty of not fighting Haney when he was the mandatory. But that doesn't justify what Tank is doing.
We both know Teo wouldn't be going after Taylor if he weren't in this condition. Teo even ducked Barboza who isn't close to the fighter Taylor is because he was an active fighter. If Taylor was, Teo would continue to duck. It's cowardly to go after fighters all the time due to their circumstances. Americans and Mexicans are fighting nothing but sabotaged opponents. If they weren't, none of these fights would be happening. Nor would they have a chance at winning. But they do love the perception of them being a somebody, even though the truth is very much a different story.Comment

I guess you didn't appreciate tonight's card at all? I thoroughly enjoyed it! Did you enjoy Lara vs. Wood?

I liked the Plant/Benavidez fight. That was fine. Both had momentum coming in and active the way it should be.
Wood was out for a year, so no. That's the second Brit Lara has got being inactive while he had no problems. Lara still needed to pull it out after getting dominated and being ready to go himself though. Now imagine Wood being active and how much better his performance would have been.Comment

I hope we don't have to!
