Plant has a major weakness and that is his gas tank......that is a recipe for disaster against a fighter like David Benavidez who has shown to not slow down and constantly hunt you down.

the Best canelo is the 160-168 versión, specially in 168.

So, thats not a shame L.
Plant power is underrated, You Will see

And Benavidez has a Lot of holes in his defense
I agree there is no shame in losing to a World Champion fighting at a weight class above. However Bivol is physically smaller than Kovalev, Smith, Saunders, and Plant, not that it takes anything away from Canelo's wins over the fighters I just listed.

I just do not agree with using the size discrepancy as an argument. The better man just won that night.

Also about David, his defensive skills might not be in par with those of Canelo, but you're really underestimating his boxing ability.

You can't spar world class champions before debuting, become the youngest supermiddleweight world champ at 20 and defeat tough competition like a prime version of Anthony Dirrell or a power puncher Roamer Alexis Angulo without having any sort of defensive skills.

        I wouldn't be surprised
David is so KO hungry he just may run into a shot and that will be it.
Similar to how Rolly lost to Tank.
So damned eager for the KO.
Just sit back and wait....should be available after 5 rds.

Interesting take. I’m just glad we’re getting match up, I can see so many possibilities with this one but I’m just gonna watch and let it all unfold. Both might hit the deck I’m thinking.

Plant unquestionably will outbox him for large spells but can he maintain it over 12 rounds is the question and I wouldn't at all be surprised if he dropped Benavidez as his footwork is atrocious. He has severe tendencies in his footwork and constantly brings his feet together and crosses them so I wouldn't at all be surprised if Plant sat him down catching him inbetween but I would be surprised if he stopped Benavidez. He is constantly moving his opposing foot first in the direction he wants to be moving in, a big no-no.
He may well win but I'll forever maintain his fathers a useless trainer who doesn't teach footwork.

A lot bigger really he is a damn CW milking a flawed system, he's in-shape and can take a shot. I don't see him getting stopped for those reasons. He cuts an obscene amount of weight and even with a week to go he was looking like a duppy. He is so drawn he looks like how Chavez Jr used to look on the scales.

            This is brains vs brawn.

But he is very strong mentally and physically big, Heredia has him in career best shape and that conditioning program is bad ass, think Marquez Manny, its going to take a lot to keep David down, not saying Plant cant do it I think its Plants only way of winning because if he cant stop David the pressure will get him in the end.
