It’s always easy to tell which fighters Reynoso and Canelo feel are bad stylistic match ups based on their easily exposed hypocrisy. When they start trying to run down who a fighter has faced, call a guy a horrible fighter, etc, all the while facing guys who have similar or worse resumes and guys who are stylistically limited, you know where their heads or at. Benavidez is a terrible match up for Canelo based on his size, strength, youth, pressure and stamina. The Canelo that we’ve seen over his last 2 fights won’t see the final bell against Benavidez.

I don't know about that, Canelo is more experienced and has been in with Golovkin and Bivol.

Benavidez' style may just suit Canelo well. And it's not just bombs coming from David, it's also power from Canelo.

But David is an exciting all action fighter. Let's see how he does against Plant, who's a very good test.

Well from Benavidez's record, Sr won't let him fight anyone.. According to his record, he hasn't fought a top fighter ( Plant would be his first), and his best win would either be Dirrel or Lemieux who Billy Joe Saunders (beaten by Canelo) humiliated when less shot .. I mean seriously

David is a solid fighter but he hasn’t faced a single fighter that will stand their ground toe to toe. See, not only can Canelo take a shot but he can hit just as hard back. And we know from much lesser fighters that David has been knocked down. Canelo is powerful; but he’s also an elite counterpunching sharp shooter. In addition David should have left the weight class years ago. Why doesn’t he? He knows, his Dad knows and his camp knows he gets floored by Beterbiev, and gets danced around in circles and his head boxed off by Bivol. In those fights he and his father know the only tactic they know how to employ will be DOA when he steps into the ring with either of them two. There is no plan B for him because he is trained one way and one way only. What happens when that plan doesn’t work and the guys you face hit like sledge hammers?

it’s easy to look like a super star when your entire career has been facing boxing cans.

Benavidez must put so much weight on between fights. That’s a crash course in weight loss.

I dont think Beinividas can whip Beterbiev, Smith nor Yarde either
You realize David put it on Bivol in sparing.... and Bivol put it on Canelo in what turned into a sparing match.

Cinnabon's gas tank is too small to get in a real fight with Benavidez. He would be gasping for air by the 3rd round, and tapping out by the 5th, rather than take the humiliation of getting punched on until he falls.

However, if Benavidez knocks off Plant in impressive fashion, the pressure on Canelo to fight him will be the most pressure he's ever had put on him to fight somebody. Wouldn't blame Canelo if he doesn't fight him being that he really has nothing else to prove atp, but it is definitely the fight that would have a huge circle on the calendar if the script that people want to happen happens.
That's one angle, but I'm all about the big mouth Mr Big-Boy-Badass of the classroom stepping UP and challenging an undeafeated Badass with an undefeated record and perfect KO streak. Benavidez wants to take on the high mileage smaller man, talking all tough and going on about his KO ratio; hitching his colorful wagon to Canelo yet whining he never gets the big fight. OK, How about taking all that bravado and bull**** and stepping up to 175 and calling out Beterbiev. No, you'll never hear it. Too much heat for Benevidez and his Flying Monkey!

Saying sparring is the same as a REAL boxing match is like saying video game fighting is the same as REAL fight. Sparring is suppose to be used as a tool. Smart people USE sparring to LEARN not to beat up people. Taking off the head gear and thick heavy gloves changes the game too.
