I have boxed and had many street fights. Heart doesn't win you fighter. In the boxing ring skills matter the most. In the street pure aggressive won me fights
    You've never fought.

There's not a single person here that believes you did. Stop lying to yourself and go back to fapping on 4chan, mighty keyboard warrior.

You're a lying ***** and a sad assed ******. If you don't know what heart is, you've never fought PERIOD. Go back to "fighting" Diddy Kong on your Wii and paying your sex-change Grandpa to inject your ass with testosterone, you'll never understand boxing or any other manly sport.

              Example
Pavlik-Taylor. They say Pavlik had heart coming back from the knock down to win. I don’t see it that way. JT punches were not enough to stop Pavlik. If a fighter gets up from a knock down, it doesn’t mean they have heart. It simply means that punch didn’t affect them much,

People who continue fighter when damaged has nothing to do with heart. It just them being ******
I was about to post how much I agreed with you until I read the bolded part.

I agree that heart is overrated. Having heart does not make you a talented fighter, just look at Gatti. It can also shorten your career, and even end if your life if you're not too careful. It's also sad when people talk **** endlessly about a fighter who quits because he realizes he will not win, or because he has taken more punishment than he'd like. It's your life and health in there, and you have the right (and quite frankly, the obligation) to protect it.

However, heart IS a quality that has helped people who have it overcome adversity that certain individuals wouldn't. That example is a perfect one. Pavlik WAS hurt, we saw him flying around from Taylor's shots after he got up from the KD. It was his desire to win and his confidence in himself that convinced him to go out for more, to believe that he still had a shot. We all saw how well that turned out for him.

I'll also say that what might appear to be similar situations are actually completely different. Let's take Vargas, one of my all-time favorite fighters. He got knocked down 3 times in the last round vs. Tito. He was losing the fight on the cards, and had virtually no chance of winning. That almost pathological need to prove he had heart ended up costing him his career. Why did he get up after every KD, all of which were BRUTAL and would've layed most other JMWs on a stretcher? Because of his need to prove to himself and his fans that we could go the distance. This might be honorable to some, but it's just plain ****** to me. The minimal "rewards" are not worth the risk, and the consequences could be fatal.

if you cherrrypick every fight and stack the deck against your opponents, then I guess you don't need heart.

                  Why are you mad??

Heart plays a litte role in fighting. This is not ROCKY, but reality. If someone KO's you, it beats you in a fight. It doesn't mean they have more heart. Simply they were more stronger than you. Anyone who thinks Heart will get them through a fight is plain ******

and you dont need heart to go through months of training. Manny Pacquiao is arguably the best p4p fighter in the world and dude has done at least 50% of it on pure heart. I beat you mayweather has tons of heart but his skill camoflauges it man. only thing with floyd is that i think he actually purposively sets himself up to take criticism, it helps him look like a bad guy and sells tickets.
