Bivol was supposed to get a better stay-busy in Buatsi, but shxt happens. If GBP throws Munguia in there with Bivol, it's a chess move that reeks of desperation. Hearn might let it happen because he knows like we know that Bivol will give him a boxing lesson. Bivol would have to get robbed on the cards, but he's probably learned from the Canelo fight to not let the fight seem close.

Beterbiev/Bivol is THE match-up to make, but it's simple to see why it won't happen next. The sanctioning body is only one of many obstacles that could potentially impede a match-up from happening. Right now, it's the promotional/network drama.

This move isn't unique to Matchroom. When a promoter has multiple fighters in a division, they have to pick-and-choose when to prioritize one over the other. Hearn had Bivol, Smith, and Buatsi...and made a move that worked for all of them: Bivol gets a stay busy, Buatsi gets a voluntary title shot, and Smith gets a mandatory shot. Buatsi said "F That" and went to see if the grass is greener at BOXXER. Now that puts pressure on Bivol to demand the Beterbiev fight. However, Hearn is probably begging him to wait for Smith/Beterbiev while he looks for a voluntary.

I don't think Bivol/Munguia would happen because I don't think GBP is THAT desperate.

Again, Bivol/Beterbiev is THE match-up to make for us. But I'm not gonna pretend like Matchroom isn't making a reasonable move.

I know Beterbiev is pushing for the fight to happen late summer , even beginning of fall
        I hope something gives
I still have great hope it happens before end of year
Obviously Slow Eddie gotta do his part , hoping Bivol steers him like Beterbiev is doing with Top Rank

Someone has to promote the fight though. Matchroom is hoping Smith beats Beterbiev, while TR is probably waiting for Bivol to become a free agent.

So Oscar says Canelo would never beat Bivol and Canelo is ****** for fighting him yet he wants Munguia, who is much worse than Canelo, to fight him? Oscar sniffing too much.

Bizarre fight if it happens. Bivol will win every round until the inevitable TKO.

Would Munguia sell his 0 to Bivol though?
Could do if they did it in the middle east again

Bivol and Ramirez was there, so they must've been making decent money

They might get Bivol back there and the money might be good enough for Munguia to sell his 0
