Has it come down to this: Rather than writing about the fight itself, people write articles about one fighter taking offense at being called fat and responding with foul mouth expletives at every turn? Hey I have an idea, how about writing more about boxing and less about this other nonsense?

Yet, Plant does it in VIOLENT KO fashion with superior skills by timing this shot all night. He fights a nice fight with arguably one of the most talented boxers of our generation, takes him to deep waters, wins some rounds, wasn’t looking for a payday and that in your opinion is “running.”

Mkay…watch more boxing. Learn the difference between an elite counter puncher/boxer and a “runner.” It would serve you well.

Another non story. Benavidez came in overweight once because it was in the middle of covid lockdown and he didn’t have access to a gym in the hotel he was in for the week before the fight. It wasn’t even down to unprofessionalism, just odd circumstances. Plant won’t land that sucker punch on Benavidez like he did on Dirrell. It’ll be Plant slowing down in those later rounds as he’ll be on his bike from round 1 against Benavidez.

Plant doesn't KO anyone any good. He isn't an "elite counter boxer/puncher", he fought a should have been retired Dirrell....who was beaten into submission by Benavidez fricking almost four years ago, which is one reason Plant caught Dirrell with his "awesome power", Dirrell is washed totally.

Plant RAN against Canelo and he was literally fan boying Saul in the middle of the fight and asking if Canelo thought he was any good. Lol.

Any fighter can be knocked out with the right shot. Dirrell was ripe and shot, and then Plant lands a lucky punch and proceeds with the ridiculous "graveyard" act, not knowing if Dirrell is actually ok yet. What class.

Plant has 13 KOs in 22 fights. He stopped guys when he fought early in his career, he ain't stopping anyone any good. And definitely not Benavidez.

Plant is an overrated douche and when Benavidez stops him, I will go watch more boxing, because my 30 years of watching fights and picking about 90% right on who will win makes me a novice.
