If Benavidez got cut he'd be fighting at 154. He has the classic skinny fat build. His power comes from his length and the leverage he gets, he knows how to throw a punch. Having abs doesn't do **** for a boxer.

Some guys are just not genetically disposed to getting to low bodyfat easily. If they do diet down to that level, they feel like **** and wear out fast.

I hope Benavidez knocks Plant's silly ass looking overly cared for hipster beard off his face.

Hasn't Benavidez been the one talking trash about Plant forever and wanting to beat his @ss for the longest time? Why is he a victim when Plant talks back? Maybe I'm missing something here.

Additonally, Benavidez has more knock outs because he's a freaking huge pressure fighter that wears down his opponents. There's already been at least one sparring partner going on record saying Plant punches harder, so his comments don't really stand for much. It seems Plant is marked up and has comparable punching power. Maybe when Benavidez moves up in weight and fights people closer to his size he'll realize it's not so easy to get that many KOs against people your own size.

Another non story. Benavidez came in overweight once because it was in the middle of covid lockdown and he didn’t have access to a gym in the hotel he was in for the week before the fight. It wasn’t even down to unprofessionalism, just odd circumstances. Plant won’t land that sucker punch on Benavidez like he did on Dirrell. It’ll be Plant slowing down in those later rounds as he’ll be on his bike from round 1 against Benavidez.
