I would say if anyone has proven their position in the top-10 it's Whyte. Franklin did really well against him and looked like he could box. His main weakness is lack of power but then AJ has a poor chin. AJ should win but I agree with Hearn it's not a straightforward one especially since AJ is coming off 2 losses. They should have picked more of a proven bum for a comeback/confidence fight in my opinion

        D. James will have AJ very disciplined to go in there and wreck Franklin's body ... whether it begins with head punches or not. Franklin was chosen because he won't pressure AJ. It would be significant if Franklin could be aggressive and have a working motor, but he hasn't shown that up to now. Thus AJ will be free to box at any pace he likes. When he decides to pressure and attack Derrick James will have him well schooled on how to go about it. I say 5 rounds or less. AJ by KO or TKO.

Franklin will test josh. In one fight with white we can see Franklin is handy. That's the only fight I've seen of franklyn

Yeah Franklin does have some ability and knows his way around the ring

Then again we have no idea about what version of Whyte we were looking at. He had been flattened in 2 of his previous 3 fights before that. Maybe he was completely shot and Franklin isn't much good at all.

Im curious to see AJ too actually. The guy had a mental breakdown last time we saw him fight. Anyone can get a new trainer and say all the right things but we see in boxing that many people revert to type once the bell goes. If he's lacking confidence from being schooled by Usyk twice which caused a breakdown and Franklin starts having success, its not inconceivable AJ's confidence drains quickly

Still I think AJ will go through him. Franklin is probably like almost every American heavyweight in the past few decades. C level. Like Trevor Bryan, not that bad technically in some aspects but really has no chance against good fighters.

Yes, but it seems like franklyn can take a shot. I think Whyte was still hitting hard on that night and franklyn took them. Im sure Josh can outbox Franklyn and i dont think Franklyn goes down like a charles martin.

                It's the latter, pretty sure.
