He’ll fight Bivol in September regardless I think.

If Benavidez does beat Plant, which isn’t a given IMO, I think he’s earned the Canelo fight.

Canelo is scared of losing the Latino/Mexican fanbase, a loss to Benavidez or any Mexican fighter could be really damaging to his standing as the top Mexican star.

However, I do think Canelo beats Benavidez if they fight.

If Benavides wins he has a case for Canelo to fight him. No more he has not done anything and he don't fight fellow Mexicans. It is a fight that people would pay to see if David wins in spectacular fashion.

I think David is a bid over-rated and I am looking forward how he does with a guy as big as him that moves so well.

There are 2 possibilities from here:

1. Canelo rematches Bivol in September, loses again. Therefore, takes a few months to recover and cherry pick another bum. That means September 2024 by the earliest you can expect Canelo to fight Benavidez, because who else is there for him to reasonable cherry pick?

2. Bivol tells Canelo to **** off. Then this leaves Canelo no other choice but to fight Benavidez. Like I said before, who else is left for Canelo?

I seriously, seriously hope Bivol and Canelo do not rematch.

Bivol rematch or Benavides are his only two options that the public wants to see. Unless Charlo steps up but I highly doubt that fight happens, maybe next year for May
