It turned out to be a somewhat decent card. Probably a blessing in disguise we didn't have to watch that Zurdo/Gabe matchup and they elevated the Hawaiian kid's scrap. Glad to see Gesta get a win, the Tudor/Cato-Cain fight was a good scrap and Duarte/Martin wasnt bad either.

The DAZN production was terrible. I didn't watch it live but seemed like there was a delay and then the audio was all jacked up. Sounded like they had the front row of the audience miked up as a commentator.

Grisham offers nothing except for a few unfunny zings. He doesn't appear to know anything about the sport and thinking out loud about OJ Simpson's roommate.

Mannix should know more about boxing considering he's covered the sport as long as he has. Mora is just Mora. They should dump Mannix and Grisham and just use Erdmann in their place.

While everyone has a right to an opinion about boxing matches and how they should be scored, those opinions should be based on knowledge and understanding rather than personal bias or preference.

Duarte may actually be too stiff for both Gesta and Schofield tbh. I would say Gesta/Schofield, but why would Gesta move backwards from Jojo Diaz?

I'm sure GBP will figure it out.
I meant to say "twice in a 5 WEEK span!" 5 week turnaround for a 35 year old fighter? That's not a good look! They're doing a cross promotion with PBC, so they should ask for a PBC opponent for Schofield, or a GBP opponent who hasn't fought in in 3 months.

Apologies, I didn't realize we were talking about possible match-ups for the Garcia/Davis undercard. Gesta definitely wouldn't be ready. As for Schofield, maybe Fortuna?

Yeah, Oscar told Gesta and Jo-Jo that the winner will face Schofield on the Davis/Garcia undercard. I don't think that's fair to Gesta! That's why I suggested Issac Cruz. Actually, I was hoping Cruz and Zepeda would fight as the co-main event!!!

So you are saying that I had a personal bias or preference? Diaz has been an overachiever that never got over the hump and Gesta was labeled something he isn't. I had no stock in either fighter but recognized that it was a decent match up.

Gesta pity patted too much for my taste and Diaz hit him with the better power shots. Like I said before, I did not see Diaz win, had a draw and didn't call a robbery. The scores were wide and all over the place. We can agree to disagree but the name calling doesn't make you the bigger man.

James Toney is waiting for his Burger King. Jermaine Franklin wants some too and whatever is left can go to Gervonta can't make 130 for a world title defense Davis.
