You would think Oscar and Hearn would work together to try to make DAZN successful. But I don’t know that Matchroom has ever seen Golden Boy as an equal partner, and they did sort of poach Canelo.Comment

There isn't a reason why their relationship would be a positive one. Anytime Oscar talks about Hearn, you can be sure that he'll be critical. When Matchroom had Andrade, DLH didn't seem interested in matching Munguia with him. Same thing with Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney. There haven't been too many GBP/Matchroom bouts: Ortiz/McKinson, Haney/JoJo Diaz....???? I feel like the animosity emanates more from Oscar than Hearn. He really needs to let the Canelo situation go.Last edited by kiaba360; 03-18-2023, 06:35 PM.Comment

If DAZN wins they both win. Undercutting each other works against that.

At least that’s the way I see it.Comment

I agree, but you also can't expect negative energy to not be reciprocated. Let's be real: Munguia has stagnated under GBP. I don't know who to blame for that. But if Munguia happens to join Canelo under Matchroom, then maybe Oscar is the one screwing up.
DAZN needs to sit Oscar and Eddie down, or they're gonna keep sniping at each other.Last edited by kiaba360; 03-18-2023, 06:57 PM.Comment
